Hi guys I'm here with just a little bit of home grown GOOD NEWS. My daughter had just lost her job of 15.5 years due to down sizing and she was feeling pretty miserable. When the terrible tornados came on all over our tvs. They were in our neighboring city of Moore Oklahoma, the devastation was gut wrenching. She looked around and suddenly was very very thankful for all that she DID have, her home, lots of food in her frig n cupboards, and the love of her life, her beautiful little son,......not all families were so lucky. It was at that time she decided to make a difference. My daughter got an idea for a fundraiser to be able to make a difference in at least 4-5 families life's that lost everything in those days, May 19, 20, & 21. She put on a beauty pageant....A Beauty Walk Today For A "Moore" Beautiful Tomorrow. We had contestants from babies, to gramma's, donations of every kind, silent auction, & got a car donated to a family that had thier truck wrapped around a tree. They had no insurance....and did you know, that FEMA is only for those that already have insurance......my first reaction on that is WHAT THE FRIC????????? Insert you know what word place of fric.....anyway there is no help for those that really need it. But there are people like my daughter that care, that will work thier tail off, that have the ability to pull people together and get things done!
Although she had never done this before she put on this pageant, got people to donate crowns, trophies, pictures, the venue to hold it in, jugdes, tabulators, and sooo much more that goes into having one of these pageants. And on top of that she gave 100% of the profits to the 4 families that were chosen to be sponsored! Not including the garage full, 3 times over & delivered of donated goods, clothes, kitchen items, toasters, microwaves, dish towels new, silverware, dishes, glasses, new pots n pans, ect, sheets, bedding, blankets, curtains, pictures, decorations, shoes, purses, coats, toys, drive toys, you name it, we had it! As of this morning she has collected over $10,000 cash to put in the hands of our family's! MAN OH MAN I'm Sooooo Proud of this kid!
Oooohhh and on a really nice note, our channel 4 news got the story and she will be the Pay It Forward Hero on our. 10pm news this coming weds night . WoooooHoooo!

You can DO ANYTHING you WANT to DO, you just have to WANT to DO it ENOUGH! ;-) ;)
