Shakespeare had a vocabulary of 54k, we, on average, 3k. I had an excellent education and frequently run into people who think I am talking down to them just by using the most accurate word. Putting on airs is to use those words that most accurately describe a situation or event but is not in the common vernacular. Am I to curtail my vocabulary for the ease of those less educated as not to possibly insult or bother, or hope amongst them is a mind hungry to learn?

There is a movement to reduce the ability to communicate well. It is called the NWO.
Ever hear of Orwell's "Newspeak" from 1984
BB is doing its thing.
Common Core is its latest advancement.

BTW; I thought this was pretty funny!

Communication sk**ls are not simply the utterance of words alone that people relate to or even accept anymore...

Non-verbal behavior, (the sub-conscious reaction) often speaks louder than the words spoken..........Involuntary reaction being more accurate as to the persons reaction...

Facial expressions, the way we hold our arms when speaking to another, direct eye contact etc all support verbal communication and that "sense" of our impact of the discussion..
