I see a lot of discussion about who should be able to v**e and other ideas that would be possible if the privilege was restricted to those most qualified and/or having skin in the game.
That horse has left the barn. We are not likely to succeed, politically, in gettng a majority to restrict v****g - actually if anything the trend is the other way. The hue and cry about requiring ID, as well as the movement to allow i*****l i*******ts to v**e in local e******ns - and even to grant them citizenship if far more likely to prevail.
H**e to say it, but we may well need a collapse in the system to progress on the political front - and a collapse looks more likely every day

I h**e to say it also but you may be right. I always heard that history repeats itself, to bad we in America fail to recognize this and then heed the warning. All we have to do is look at Detroit and then look at the direction America is heading and recognize that we are heading for the same cliff that Detroit went over and if we stay on this path we as a country will go over it also. We also have the history of the rise and fall of the Roman empire to compare ourselves to but no we are to smart and know to much to think that we to are headed in the same direction. Our democrats don't or won't see their mistakes until we all go over the cliff together. Russia is coming back under Putin but as a capitalist country not a socialist one. China has gone from socialist to capitalist as well. And in the US we have OIllegal driving us from a capitalist country into a socialist country. No socialist country has lasted or worked so why can't we see that and get rid of the bum.
