Did I fail to read that one closely enough? I failed to see Walmart as one of the companies. I heard today that they had decided not to build three planned store in the DC area and are stopping the building of three more of them because the city council has passed a rule that box stores, like them, must pay a minimum of $12.50 per hour which is a lot more than other retailers in the area. Since they have always put stores in smaller cities and in poorer parts of bigger cities to help the residents of those areas they have been surprised by this action.

Just think of how much closer this move by the city council put them toward going down like Detroit did. Yes, that would have been a pile of tax money on those stores but then they aren't a unionized company, so I guess that is part of it all.

Who really cares what Wall Street says.!!!!

I would much prefer Fortune for Best Companies to work for. As I do not keep up with print media too much US News and Newsweek previously put out similar listings.
