And the African American male wonders why he is viewed with suspicion and, according to Obama's statement, followed in the department store. One would wonder if this, flash mobs, and random attacks might give some insight.

When I was younger, I took a 2-week vacation to Jekyll Island. I loved it down there and went to St. Simons Island to play golf, it was great. I then told my wife that if we moved from the northeast, I would like to move to Brunswick, GA.! I only went through the town once, but thought is was a nice, quiet, little town and would be an ideal place to retire to. I held on to that idea for years and would tell my friends I was going to Brunswick, GA. when I retired. I'm sorry to hear about the problems there, I guess I was wrong.

I grew up in Wisconsin, and count myself lucky to have found a dream job in Brunswick. I had no idea Georgia even had a coastline until 2001. the weather is great, the people are even better, except a few. I believe you'll find perversion anywhere. I know we saw it in my home town of 3000 in Wisconsin growing up, a Halloween child k**ler when I was in my teens, Jeffery Dahmer, etc. Brunswick is still a great place. I live in a semi-rural gated community halfway between Darien and Brunswick up the coast about 10 miles from the city. Good small town feel, though there is a distinct and broad socio-economic range. Sea Island is one of the richest zip codes in the nation, StSimon's Island home prices are about twice that of the mainland for the same thing, and then Brunswick is filled with govt. housing and is 65% black. We see extremes here, but still don't have the crime of Jacksonville, FL or even Savannah, GA, both about an hour away.

I live in stone mountain, mostly black now, but we all seem to get along ok, so far nothing bad here that I know of, but I did have a neighbor that was black, and she seemed nice enough, in fact I made her wedding dress. Sent her an article about Obama thinking she was smart enough to be unbiased, but that was a big mistake, she wrote me the most terrible sick letter, so one black so called friend down the tubes

This unfortunately all across America. I live in IL and I used to get pastry from a local shop and one of the waitresses is an older black lady and I used to say stuff about OIllegal and she would always say "Why you talk about my Bama that way" I finally talked to her and told her that I have a lot of "African American friends and some of them actually came over from Africa. I do not dislike or even h**e African Americans and I have a number of them that I would trust with my life. I also told her that I didn't care what color or nationality the man was because I am criticizing what he does not his skin color. I told her that this man had a chance to make this country even greater and less divided and because of his socialist beliefs he is destroying America. He is also destroying the black populace in this country as well. Ever since then she has not said a single word to me. I to this day don't know whether the message got through or not but I tried.

Quid Pro Quo, bahmer: This is the intelligence you were talking to: "Why you talk about my Bama that way". Now why is it do you suspect you could get any kind of intelligent rationale to someone who expresses the English language at that level of education. Eh? And, don't anyone bother to call me a r****t. It won't fly. The facts are the facts, and we have to deal with them.
