"We just have to make sure that our e******ns are fair and as free of fraud as possible. That doesnt seem like an unreasonable desire, but it certainly riles up the Democrats. Why might that be?"

It is common knowledge that a surpressed v**er turnout benifits republicans and a large v**er turnout benifits democrats. Democrats want every person eligible to v**e to be able to do so easily, republicans want to make it as difficult as possible. Making e******n days a federal holiday and insisting employers allow paid time off for v****g would be a good place to start. Early v****g, absentee v****g and automatic registration for citizens would all allow more eligible citizens to participate. Unfortunatly republicans want to prevent turnout so these things will not happen in the near future. V***r f***d is nearly non existant and is a felony in most cases. Just like gun laws the first step is to enforce the laws on the book not create new ones.
