Coffin on four wheels. Remove the tax subsidies and the industry would fold. Also, the depreciation is much higher than a gas driven vehicle. Electric car technology still has a long ways to go.

Depending on where you live, daily commute and battery life, yes. There are going to have to be more "charging stations" available.

Anyone who has to do frequent road travel of any distance is still going to need a gasoline fueled vehicle.

also where does the electricity come from and have you ever seen the pollution involved in the manufacture and disposal of batteries?

Those of us who live 35 miles away from a decent grocery store would never find that golf car as practical. We live out here so we don't have to put up with the ultra left nutballs on a daily basis.

Another interesting attempt, jelun. The engineering problems are gradually being worked out and, if you haven't yet heard about it, we'll be getting a new type battery in a few years that's predicted to triple electric car range.

Check out the possibilities for the lithium-sulfur battery.
