Once again, the libs/progs think that they are smarter than everyone else. They want to "force" people to do what they think is right! Their motto is: "V**ers are too stupid to do the right thing, so we'll just "pass a law". I think when people see the advantages of any new technology that:
1. Isn't dangerous to them or the environment.
2. Isn't cost-prohibitive.
3. Isn't forced on them.
They would voluntarily migrate to that technology. Give people (even stupid, non-politicians) a choice, and more often than not, they will make the right choice if it is beneficial to them.
Unfortunately, this theory apparently doesn't work when electing a President!
