Wisdom from Casey Stengel
The secret of managing is to keep the guys who h**e you away from the guys who are undecided.
There comes a time in every man's life and I've had many of them.
See that fella over there? He's 20 years old. In 10 years, he's got a chance to be a star. Now that fella over there, he's 20 years old, too. In 10 years he's got a chance to be 30.
I always heard it couldn't be done, but sometimes it don't always work.
Now there's three things you can do in a baseball game: You can win, or you can lose or it can rain.
Yogi Berra had some of the best one liners. This first one is my favorite, and I use it often
When you come to a fork in the road, take it.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.
You've got to be very careful if you don't know where you are going, because you might not get there.
You can observe a lot by just watching.
Congratulations. I knew the record would stand until it was broken.
Baseball is ninety percent mental. The other half is physical.
I remember Stengel and Berra very well. I was a true baseball fanatic as a young man. Not so much in the past 20 years or so. Yogi had another great one..."It ain't over 'til it's over." Another Stengel quote is "The trick is growing up without growing old."

I'm looking toward spring, and with spring comes sandlot games, so I thought this may be a good time to 'throw' in some baseball trivia.
Yogi had so many, he had to be a real character.
And by the way, "The trick is growing up without growing old," only the old ever grow old, the others continue to nurture the 'child within.'
