Easy. Frequent broken bones, attacks by animals, infested with parasites both internally and externally, zero medical care, that "free range" food was also feast and starve, lots of diseases, exposure to the elements, it was a short and rough life. Actually, the average lifespan was 35 to 40 years and didn't improve much over that among most people in Europe until the last few hundred years.

It would take many decades if not centuries for the cyle of rains, floods, snows and hail to clean up our water, and wash away all the chemicals saturating our soil. Our oceans and seas would take longer with high levels of mercury, lead, and all else.
Mankind would have to disappear during that time. We are the only expendable creation on the eartg anyway.

100 was the benchmark for the very old, president will send a b. day congratulations letter if someone asks. A relative of mine died 18 months ago aged 105. The age is going up, I wonder how far in the future 110 will become the new benchmark?
