During the course of a heated college women's softball tournament, the coach felt the need to remind one of his players about the importance of team play and good sportsmanship. The coach asked the player if she remembered what good sportsmanship was. She responded yes. The coach then asked if she remembered that you were not to throw things or curse the umpire. The player responded, yes, she remembered. Good said the coach, now would you please go tell your grandpa (Slatten). :shock: :oops: :mrgreen:

My comfort level with giving out a young woman's name, who is not related to me, online is V E R Y low.
Last week was snow for WFOC and this week is softball for Slatten.

I think he watched a game on TV yesterday. It was in the thirties with misting wetness. I checked their weather today. It looks just as bad. I am glad he made the decision to not travel. :thumbup:

nope old bones, my wife is from the Philippines and she keeps wanting to go to Michigan so she can play in the snow so I offer to buy her a plane ticket

I lived with it for 3 years, 2 in the States and 1 in another country. The latter k**led any 'liking' I may have previously had for it. I can now enjoy it from afar, such as viewing it on mountain tops while at the beach.

there are a couple of mountains east of here that we can see and when the snow level gets below four thousand feet we can see it from here

I was watching the LadyHorn's game on television today when this was posted. Upon the game's completion, a good friend asked me to accompany him to an auction down the road a bit. We just arrived home this evening about 9:45.
Neither the coach, the umpires or the players could have heard my language, or feel the effects of objects being tossed about during the game, which we lost. The second game scheduled was cancelled due to the miserable weather. I have calmed down a bit, AuntiE. :roll: Thanks for your concerns. :hunf:
