Live Long And Prosper : RIP Mr. Spock

Leonard Nimoy was born to play the role of Spock.

As a boy in my little Texas hometown, one of my favorite after school passtimes was to journey along with the USS Enterprise to worlds where no man has gone before.

Mr. Spock was an inspirational character and the show would not have enjoyed the success it did without him.

Rest in peace Mr. Spock, and to all on OPP, both friends and adversaries ; Live Long And Prosper.

Totally agree. I'm sad he's gone. A truly iconic actor. Amazing how the original Star Trek episodes from the 60's still hold up today.

I was and am a big fan of Next Generation too, but watching those shows now in syndication, I'm amazed at how nauseatingly liberal they are. I can hardly get through an episode now without saying, "Oh please!" out loud at the television. :)

Wolf, you've written a very beautiful eulogy to Mr Nimoy. Star Trek fans all around the world will miss him, myself included. It's sad that the actors that made the series such a success are now in their twilight years.
Mr Nimoy now joins the other 36 actors who played characters in either the Star Trek series or in a Star Trek movie.

The others are:

Majel Barrett, DeForest Kelley, Malachi Throne, James Doohan, Mark Lenard, Jeffrey H****r, William Windom, William Campbell, Roger C. Carmel, Susan Oliver, Celia Lovsky, Persis Khambatta, Meg Wyllie, Paul Carr, Michael Strong, James Gregory, Ricardo Montalban, Frank Overton, Jill Ireland, Bart La Rue, Vic Perrin, Liam Sullivan, Jane Wyatt, Charles Napier,
Glenn Corbett, Booker Bradshaw, Warren Stevens, Madlyn Rhue, Paul Winfield, Merritt Butrick, Karen Steele, Richard Tatro, Kay Elliot, Alyce Andrece, Rhae Andrece, Madge Sinclair.

LLAP, Mr Spock. You will be missed, but you're now in the company of really good actors.

Although not a character, you missed the person who if not for him, none of this would have been possible...creator Gene Rodenberry.
