I'm a Compassionate Conservative or Republican "W" said when he was asked the question of who he was back before the first e******n...

I'm not sure I really understood what he was saying then and hindsight is 20/20...

Before I get to far off my topic, I don't agree with all of his Domestic policies, his Foreign Policies are right in line with mine then...

I'm at best a Moderate Domestic Conservative (as of today I'm more in line with Dr. Carson, but only because he has been very open about his ideas, I'm not sure of any of the others!), and a very Conservative American where Foreign Affairs come into play...

I've said before I believe (for several reasons, one being we are broke, two it does no good!) we should STOP all Foreign aid, all UN aid and withdraw from that body of C****es & Socialist and give then a short time table to leave New York, it's a spynest at best...

The United States can no longer be the worlds police department, yes we need to fight and defeat all who represent a danger to America, such as ISIS, but we've been 10 years to long in Afghanistan, supporting a corrupt Government of drug dealers & crooks...

The same can be said for many Nation who h**e America anyway, no matter what we do... We need to start thinking of AMERICA first...

The same with our State Department, it too is corrupt with leaders of a diminished capacity...

Close all non essential Embassies and Military bases, bring all dependents home...

We can "Show the F**g" via troop carriers around the world, we also can maintain strategic bases where needed...

One other point I would like to make, to many of us get hung up on who is giving the news or reports, I disagree most of the time with the New York Times, BUT if a article comes from them I agree with I could care less if it's from them...

That said, who cares if WND or Fox or WSJ or whoever gives the information as long as its honest and correct, I don't and I hope you don't... Don D.

WHY DOES OBAMA SO OPPOSE NETANYAHU'S SPEECH?

Star Parker Hits The President For Sending Out Proxies To Offer 'Flimsy Explanations'

Susan Rice, President Obama’s national security adviser, told TV talk-show host Charlie Rose that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s upcoming speech before Congress about Iran is “destructive” to the relationship between the United States and Israel.

What is going on? The national security adviser is just that – an adviser.
It is not a Cabinet post, nor a position of authority. It is not an appointment that requires confirmation of Congress. The president picks this individual to serve as a staff adviser on national security affairs.

So who is Susan Rice to be hitting the media and defining the nature of relations between the United States and its principle friend and ally in the Middle East – the only free nation in that part of the world?

In a new poll from Gallup, 70 percent of Americans express a favorable opinion of Israel, unchanged from where it stood same time last year.
Gallup concludes that “the evident friction between President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu” has not “affected how each is perceived in the U.S.”

So why is Susan Rice, an unelected, unconfirmed, White House bureaucrat appearing in the media, defining the nature of relations between these two important free-world allies? And doing so inaccurately?

To suggest, as Ms. Rice and others have, that somehow the prime minister’s acceptance of this invitation to speak from House Speaker John Boehner is partisan, because Boehner is a Republican, is like saying that accepting an invitation from the president for a meeting in the White House is partisan because Barack Obama is a Democrat.

We are talking here about the functioning of the American government.

Last November the American people spoke and delivered decisive victories to Republicans, giving them control of both houses of Congress.
Americans said boldly and clearly that they want a different point of view than that of the White House controlling Congress.

Public approval of President Obama’s conducting of foreign affairs has dropped precipitously since the beginning of his presidency. In early 2009, approval of the president’s handling of foreign affairs, according to Gallup, was 59 percent. The latest poll puts it at 36 percent.

And, in a new Pew Research Center poll, 48 percent say Republicans do a better job on foreign policy issues compared to 35 percent that prefer Democrats.

So the logic and reasonableness of John Boehner’s invitation to the Israeli prime minister is clear as a bell.

Couple all this with the issue on the table – the agreement being negotiated with Iran regarding its nuclear capability, which is very complicated and very risky and which the Israeli PM thinks is a bad deal – and it makes all the sense in the world for the American people to get another well-informed opinion.

Secretary of State Kerry just testified before the House Foreign Affairs Committee saying that “Israel is safer today” because of the deals this administration is cutting with Iran, deals Netanyahu opposes.

Can John Kerry really be serious, inferring that he knows better what makes Israel safe than Israel’s own prime minister?

The president has a bully pulpit waiting for him whenever he wants to use it to explain to the American people why he doesn’t want Benjamin Netanyahu to give this speech.

Instead of shooting straight with us, the president is sending out his foot soldiers, his proxies, Democrats in Congress, including the Black Caucus, to do his business for him, with flimsy explanations.

What’s up with our president? And what’s up with the press? Why aren’t they asking penetrating questions?

All of us recall as students reading about the tragedies in history and asking how they could have happened, why they weren’t prevented.

We should hear the Israeli prime minister’s concerns.

And our president, himself, should tell the American people why he so opposes this very sensible speech.

Have you already forgotten the atrocities perpetrated on the Palestinians. I was headed for the genocide of the Palestinians. Perhaps you don't read enough about their "war."

Initially President Obama accepted Netanyahu's comments about the Ps but, about 2 years ago, wen they met, he became quite suspicious of N's lies and recommended that N "walk carefully." N ignored him and did what he desired anyway - attempted genocide.

It was N who warned the U.S. about WMDs only to find out that they did not exist. He is still pushing his lies. When he realized that Obama was not fooled, he decided to bypass the President and address his congress where, he knows, there are those very much in favor of war. We already had a war and lost many lives due to N's lies. Do you want to do it again?

N's own advisers have already advised him NOT to address our congress. I'm sure he convinced members of our congress to offer him an invitation. Politically, this is not done if there is no subterfuge present. In addition, there are the righties in Congress that dislike Our President and are disappointed that he has been able to avoid war using other methods. As Obama says, "War should be used only the very last resort." N had this country help him once. He wants it again and must believe our government's representatives very stupid to try it a second time. He can't do the job himself and is looking for an ally - preferably the U.S.

Every time Obama and the UN called for peace, don't you think such a little group of people, who are poorly armed, would prefer to war and break the peace? He is looking for his "ally" because he has been against Iran for so many years and wants to do away with them as well as the Palestinians.

He is not doing well in his own country. Many Israelis have refused to enter his military because they were disgusted and ashamed at what they had to do while they were in Gaza. I do recall reading all these articles. Perhaps you missed them.

I've lived amongst American Jews, a quite gentile and humanitarian people and the majority of them want this present war Israel is involved in to be ended. The young Jews have even protested.

N knows President Obama will not back him as an ally. He believes this country has done enough and will not enter a war on the side of Israel. N was warned by O regarding this and that's why he wishes to bypass the president; especially when President Obama is speaking to Iran and is gaining their trust. They were screwed once, under Bush, and are being a bit cautious. Can you blame them?

This address to Congress can only serve to screw up Obama's headway with Iran. And that's what Netanyahu wants. He knows about the difficulties between Congress and the Executive and this is his way of telling the head of this country to eff-off.

Finally the UN gave them the West bank, they send rockets into Israel from there, so, war again, etc., etc., etc.

I guess you haven't been keeping up with the situation there. T***h is, Netanyahu wants the entire area. Please google a bit further into that war and look at both sides. The Palestinians have no chance against Israel and I wonder that, with the uneven arms controlled by both states, any are still living. Please look into it further with an open mind. Their water as well as their utilities has been cut off and they can do nothing about it.

Israelis are still moving into Gaza and setting up their own illegal communities. That was not ordained by the UN but the're still doing it and claiming that they are importing more Israelis to protect an illegal community.

In addition, through Netanyahu, much of the world never gets to hear the other side. They are given almost no (3 - 5 minutes) warning that their homes will be bombed. How do you like them conditions? How many peace periods have been ordered and broken by Israel on the basis of one bomb (not much more than a grenade) being launched at Israel? The Palestinians are also being prevented from catching their own food fish. N wants to commit genocide.

Just look at the numbers: 3 Israeli kids were k**led as opposed to over 2000 Palestinians. That's over 875:1. How do you like them odds? Do take a look to see what Gaza towns look like and compare it with those in Israel. I don't think you'd appreciate the differences.

The Israelis have bombed hospitals and UN Safe buildings. They respect nothing!

Why do you think President Obama listened to Netanyhu and recommended that he, N, pay attention to UN rulings. When it was discovered that N had no intention of doing so, Obama became quite upset with him. Previous US presidents were suckered in by N but they had not the understanding of people that Obama has.

Most American Jews, being humanitarian people, are not in favor of N's actions. The young, especially, are protesting against him and he thumbs his nose at them as he is doing with the President and Democrats here. He wants what he wants and doesn't give a damn about anyone else. I do believe this latest action (visiting Congress) will work against him. He does not heed his own advisers.

Ans, by the way, no WMDs were ever found in all these years. Bush was greedy to protect his oil investments. Call is ESP, but I knew that immediately. It is sad that so many Americans had to be k**led so that the Bush family could become richer.

President Obama initiated the drones in order to keep, what is the phrase, "boots off the ground" to protect American lives. I don't believe there was another US president with so much concern for "The People."

Oh, and wh**ever became of returning to one's homeland? Wasn't it supposed to work for the Palestinians as well as the Israelis. I lived through that time and, at first, was so very happy regarding Israel but, the border between Israel and Gaza had been moved a few times, leaving the Palestinians less and less land. Netanyahu wants the entire area - right out to the sea.
