First Look: Scott Walker Leads in Nevada Poll; Jeb Performs Worst Against Hillary

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker leads former Florida Governor Jeb Bush in an early Nevada 2016 poll.

In the Gravis Marketing poll that Breitbart News obtained, Walker leads with 27% support among Republicans while Bush is in second with 19%. Sixteen percent of Nevada Republicans answered “unsure.” New Jersey Governor Chris Christie received 8%, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) received 6%, tied with former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee. Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry received 5% while Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), who spent part of his childhood in the state and recently visited Nevada on his book tour, received 4%, along with former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) received 3% while Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal got 1%.

Walker has led in early polls in Iowa and New Hampshire, and Nevada is scheduled to have its 2016 nominating caucuses between New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation primary and South Carolina’s first-in-the-South primary.

Hillary Clinton has a strong lead among Democrats with 58% support in the Gravis poll. Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren is in second with 20%. Vice President Joe Biden received 8% while 7% of Nevada Democrats answered”unsure.” Socialist Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders received 4%, former Virginia Senator Jim “Born Fighting” Webb received 3%. And former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley received a whopping 0% support.

In a potential general e******n matchup in the important swing state, Bush does the worst against Clinton. Clinton beats Walker 49%-43%, Paul 49%-42%, Christie 47%-38%, and Bush 50%-37%.

The Gravis poll found that 53% of Nevadans disapprove of Obama while 43% approve. Broken down by demographics, the poll found that 88% of African Americans in Nevada approve of Obama while 8.1% disapprove.
Among Hispanics, Obama’s approval rating is 47.9% while his disapproval rating is 42.3%. The poll found that 92.9% of Asians surveyed in Nevada disapproved of Obama while only 3.6% approved. A majority of w****s (58.2%) in Nevada disapproved while 36.4% approved.

The Gravis poll, conducted Feb 20-21, has a margin of error of +/- 3%. The poll’s margin of error is +/-5% for the GOP primary survey and +/- 6% for the Democratic primary survey.
