Just heard on radio, that along with new regulations on what can be broadcast on net, radio, manufacture of new ammo for AR 15 type weapons will be ban. Being passed with out Congress knowledge or reading of regulation, by one of Obama new Bureaucracy.

Now you Libs may applauded the ban of ammo, but what about the regulations on content of net, radio. So much for free speech, and 2nd amendment rights. HUH!

Sounds like our Dictator has struck again! Is this what Lefties really believe is the right thing for our country? Wake Up! Obama is implementing the changes for a New America, with your blessing, and your cheering him On!

I***ts! It will be to late, when the lights go out!

Contacted NRA, and going to write RNC about this, travesty.

Armor piercing ammo, to protect police.

. "The NRA and our tens of millions of supporters across the country will fight to stop President Obama's latest attack on our Second Amendment freedoms."

At issue is so-called “armor-piercing” ammunition, an exemption for those bullets mostly used for sport by AR-15 owners, and the recent popularity of pistol-style ARs that use the ammo.

The inexpensive 5.56 M885 ammo, commonly called green tips, have been exempt for years, as have higher-caliber ammunition that also easily pierces the type of soft armor worn by police, because it’s mostly used by target shooters, not criminals. The agency proposes to reclassify it as armor-piercing and not exempt.

Why are they not trying to ban 7.62x39 ammo for AKs?

I think this is ammo manufacturers and BATF in cahoots to make the price of ammo scarcer and thereby drastically raising the price just like they have with .22 caliber bullets. Sure has curtailed my plinking.

Yeah, I haven't seen .22 caliber ammo for sale in my area lately either.

I don't know how to break the news, but almost any rifle bullet is capable of piercing police type kevlar. This ammo has been available commercially for decades. Why did it just now become "armor piercing? The actual reason is that since Obama could not ban the rifle, he is attempting to regulate the ammo out of existence. The AR15 is not the only rifle that uses this ammo. It is one of the most popular calibers in the country.

"Armor piercing" is a very misleading term

I haven't time to go into the details, but here is a link that explains the BATFE's end run. The ammo they are re-classifing as "armor piercing," fails to meet their own definition of "armor piercing." With the blessing of the Most High God-King, they are making it up as they go.

Thanks Loki, good point
That is the worrisome part about it though isn't it?
They aren't re-classifing the ammo, but the armor its self.
So what rifle round isn't "armor piercing" to some degree.
It seems to me that once again this administration is manipulating the law, to limit our 2nd amendment.

I seriously doubt that ammo manufacturers are in cahoots with BATF. They'd be cutting their own throats.

The prices on ALL ammo took a big jump up after the Sandy Hook massacre, but since the gun-grabbers failed, the prices are slowly coming down. I have no problem getting .22, 9mm, 5.56mm if I need it. I have a stash.

However, this ban on M855 is just a foot through the back door. Ever hear of the "boiling frog" analogy?

Shame we can't say the same for Mitch McConnell. His cowardice and duplicity on amnesty will probably repeat over and over again, on ammo bans, gun control, you name it. He is a particularly odious type of chickens**t: the "Yellow Bellied Peckerhead."

That was my bad attempt at satire. Seems that when all the alphabet agencies bought all the ammo they did is when ammo got scarce and prices shot up.

Worst part is he didn't even wait for a payoff like he did w/ the sequester, when he sold the right out for a 1billion dollar Dam project.

Shame we can't deal w/ our crooked politicians like the early Romans did. Anybody have some squirrels?
