The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is suspending the implementation of President Obamas new executive actions on immigration to comply with an injunction from a federal judge.
DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson said he strongly disagrees with the move by U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen to temporarily halt the new deferred deportation programs, but said the administration will abide by his order.
The Department of Justice will appeal that temporary injunction; in the meantime, we recognize we must comply with it, Johnson said.
Obama in November moved to shield up to 5 million i*****l i*******ts from deportation, in part by expanding the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program he created in 2012 and by expanding access to work permits.
The administration said it will not begin accepting new application for the expanded childhood arrival program on Wednesday, as had been planned, nor will it accept applications for what is known as Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents.
DHS said the suspensions will be in place until further notice.
Hanens injunction, released late Monday night, halted the enactment of the new programs pending a decision from his court.
A group of 26 states sued the president over the policies, arguing he overstepped his powers under the Constitution.
Outgoing Attorney General Eric Holder on Tuesday called Hanens ruling "an interim step" in a legal process still playing out.
"I think that we have to look at this decision for what it is," Holder said at a National Press Club luncheon. "It is a decision by one federal district court judge."
"I've always expected that this is a matter that will ultimately be decided by a higher court if not the Supreme Court, than a federal court of appeals," Holder said.
Johnson noted that the courts order does not affect i*****l i*******ts who have already been enrolled in DACA, and said undocumented immigrants who arrive in the country as children can still apply for a deportation deferral.
The judges order also has no impact on DHSs ability to exercise discretion in which undocumented immigrants it chooses to target for deportation, Johnson said.
Obama and administration officials are prioritizing the deportation of undocumented immigrants who could be a threat to national security.

I'm not claiming that Obama is the Antichrist, but the Bible calls the Antichrist the lawless one. Obama is the most lawless President we've ever had. Coincidence? Probably. But who knows, for sure?
The court was right.....and I think that Johnson coming out in favor of lawlessness in Obama's executive order would require his employment be reviewed.....perhaps he is not the best person for the job. We need people in government who are concerned about Americans.....

Actually, I saw something someone posted on here about a guy from Greece that just got elected. He seems to be a better candidate for the AC. He's an atheist and is working with the pope on a one world government or something.

Any one who is against or does not believe in Christ is called anti Christ. The actual Anti-Christ is Satan himself. He is here on Earth using mankind to k**l,steal, and destroy, but has not showed their-self, as of yet.

Only by Christians, of course. The rest of us don't think about Christ or Anti-Christ other than Muslims who revere Christ.

You can think wh**ever you want. It is still a free country, or at least for the moment.
I do agree with you about the muslims though. They pose more of a problem right now then anyone.
As for Christ, I believe he will come when he is good and ready, not when someone here thinks he will come.

Satan is not the Antichrist. That role belongs to a human.

It's a shame really. Most of this administration belongs behind bars, but I don't believe any of them will ever see the inside of a jail, thanks to the Democrats and the RINOS. At least we have one judge that has the guts to put a stop to this illegal crap he is trying to turn loose on the rest of us.

Obama, and his ilk, will see justice. Gods Justice. The poor fools. I could almost feel sorry for them. Almost.
Technically she is correct.... anti simply means against and when combined anti-Christ simply is anyone or thing that is against Christ. However, I understand how you intended the reference. That of the prophecy contained in Revelations, of an individual who will come at the end of times, often referenced as the beast.

How in the hell does a federal judge's injunction on executive amnesty have any relevance to who is the freaking antichrist? I mean, holy crap, how quickly these threads go straight into the s**tter.

I believe the connection is the Bible's comment about the Antichrist being a man of lawlessness, and How Obama ignores the Constitution, or any other law, that gets in the way of what he wants.
