In a situation reminiscent of the Shaneen Allen case, a 72-year-old retired school teacher in New Jersey faces a 10-year felony sentence (a likely life sentence) and the jeopardization of his pension for possession of an unloaded 300-year-old flintlock pistol.

That is totally insane. He needs good attorneys and plenty of publicity. We truly are living in the Twilight Zone.

If he would promise to fight them to the end, he needs a good publicist, a certified book keeper, and an account to take donations into. I am disabled after 30 years of work, but this is something even on my fixed income I would skip a few meals for.

Even so where are all the so called 2nd amendment champions running in with their lawyers telling this man the state has no rights in this area. Seems to me the side of these attacks has lawyers climbing out from under rocks. Why no reasonable lawyers standing up to file the briefs and why no citizens fighting it? I would bet the people of NJ have been brainwashed through the media to already believe they can't win.

Someone needs to call Chris Christie out on this publicly. There is no way he could let this happen if he is even thinking about running for president.
