The problem with so-called "family values" is the fact that when good paying jobs were available, girls tended to get married if they "got into trouble." Now that many of those jobs have disappeared due to the destruction of Americas Labor Unions, young people think about their own survival instead of having to worry about a family.

Hello. You will find the forums here get kind of spirited at times. Downright profane too. This happens when people who care about a position disagree. Even the ones I disagree with are better than the apathetic dolts who can't be bothered.

We do go on, sometimes. It can get pretty heated, as I tell everyone, that's what happens when people who care about something defend or attack a position.

I would argue that point, and will, but not now. People here can get pretty adamant about their beliefs, both Liberal and Conservative.

Glad to see you. I'm still amazed at the way some of these disussions turn out. People here can get wound up, because they believe in something. We call each other names a lot. If posters didn't care, tempers wouldn't flare, way I see it. Whether I agree or not, people here (mostly) do not stay glued to their TVs and believe all the drivel the MSM call news.

One of the first things you will notice about me is that I despise Barack Obama, not because he is black but because he's an i***t and a t*****r!
I think that America is well ready for a black President but not this one. He is setting the likely hood of another black person being considered for such an office back for many years just by his incompetence alone.

I want to welcome all newbies on this thread. 1PP has members who are conservatives, who are progressives, and who don't know what they are!

I am a conservative libertarian. Was a v****g republican until 2010 when I quit the party because it simply didn't represent those issues I felt needed representation. I am opinionated, and I find nothing wrong with everyone being opinionated, as long as he can justify the rationale for the opinions.

I hope to be seeing all of you in various threads. I believe all conservatives in the nation are worried about the demise of America, and want things reversed. It will NEVER be reversed until we force the issue. My own opinion is that we need to be rebelling against everything that threatens our nation from within. That is neither smart nor wise, but letter writing is both smart and wise - unfortunately it accomplishes nothing these days. I don't have a real answer, but I'll be darned if I will be treated like trash in my own country by my own employees in DC. It won't happen.
