Love the unlovable

Romans 5:8

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

When your children hurt you, you still love them. They are your flesh and blood, you nursed them through sickness, you cheered at their victories, you cried at their wedding, and you cried when they hurt your feelings. mean words or actions happen in families, and children can get to us when no one else would be able to. They can cut us to the quick, we bleed inside, and cry on the outside. But, if they come to you for help, even though they may not say, "I'm sorry," you are ready to be by their side, because you love them.

The Bible tells us, (paraphrased in my words, not a direct quote) if we, as sinful people, are able to love our children and give them good gifts, how much more will our Heavenly Father love us and shower us with His gifts and blessings. Our daily sins of omission or commission occur even if they are unintentional. Nevertheless, we sin daily, and often as not, we just expect God will forgive us. WHY? Because He loves us with a love that passes all understanding. Take the time today to say a kind word to someone who appears unlovable, it may lift both of your souls.

It is almost beyond belief how much he still loves us after all we have done to disappoint him.
