I Wonder what it cost to fly down there buy 20 or 30 old cars and have them shipped up here and repair as needed and detail and sell them on the internet??? Let me know if you have any ideas along these lines... Don D.

Great post, I remember when most of these cars were in daily use here in the US. It is remarkable how distinctively they were styled, I had no trouble identifying various makes. Contrast that with the boring similarity of all the current rice buckets, no matter how costly or cheap. They all share a big dose of ugly!

That is so true. My car looks like every other silver car in the parking lot. I laughed at my grandson when he told me about getting in a car parked next to mine and trying to start it. He got the last laugh. At a filling station he always uses the same pump. I had gone in to get a loaf of bread, came back out and started to get in the car parked at that pump. I'm standing there saying to myself "This is not my car", when I hear him laughing at me.

Let me put it this way. After shipping them up here and restoring them, the cost would be so close or over anything you cold get for them that it would not be worth it. Most of the guys that do this kind of thing just love cars and don't always do it for the money. Unless it is a really rare car, I wouldn't consider trying this.

These are all of the cars that they had down there before Castro came and helped them all out and made them poor. Now most if not all can't afford a new car from America or any place else. Ain't c*******m great. All for one and to hell with the peons.

ABC News had a segment on them tonight. Because of their history they could be worth as much as $60,000 (I think).
