Me and my gun!

Today I swung my front door wide open and placed my Remington 30.06 right in my doorway. I left 6 shells beside it, then left it alone and went about my business.

While I was gone, the mailman delivered my mail, the neighbor boy across the street mowed the yard, a girl walked her dog down the street, and quite a few cars stopped at the stop sign near the front of our house. After about an hour, I checked on the gun. It was still sitting there, right where I had left it. It hadn't moved itself outside. It certainly hadn't killed anyone, even with the numerous opportunities it had been presented to do so. In fact, it hadn't even loaded itself. Well you can imagine my surprise, with all the media hype about how dangerous guns are and how they kill people. Either the media is wrong or I'm in possession of the laziest gun in the world.

The United States is 3rd in Murders throughout the World. But if you take out Chicago, Detroit, Washington DC and New Orleans, the United States is 4th from the bottom for Murders. These 4 Cities also have the toughest Gun Control Laws in the United States. All 4 are controlled by Democrats.

It would be absurd to draw any conclusions from this data – right?

Well, I'm off to check on my spoons - I hear they're making people fat.

It's the big spoons that are causing the trouble.
I think we should have guns as large as our adversaries.

Lookup how many toddlers kill people with easy access unattended guns, such as sitting on nightstands. You are an irresponsible, flaming asshole and should be charged. How frkn dare you be that reckless?

Islamic extremists have killed 44 people in America, toddlers 52: who is more dangerous, more a threat to America.

I agree, no kids here and mine are in easy access. guns don't kill people, people kill people. If they were no guns, they would use knives or a club.

Who told you that toddlers kill 52 people a year, some gun control organization? I actually read the FACTS, and it seems as though the Facts are that ALL gun control organizations, and their proponents like the current dimocrat frontrunner in her speech DOUBLE the actual stats ALMOST EVERY TIME. The facts on accidental death of children put guns below poisoning and way below drowning. Funny the same people who want to SAVE THE CHILDREN want to murder tens of thousands a year by aborting them. LIBERAL POSITION = A woman has an UNRESTRICTED right to abort a child at her whim, EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to life, BUT A woman has no UNRESTRICTED right to own a gun even though there IS A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to do so. The first results in MANY TIMES MORE DEATHS than the last.

Very true; in England, the poster country for gun control, knife violence is off the charts, they even have members of Parliament wondering if they should make a law limiting the length of cooking knives.

I wonder if they'll soon have to establish a BKA, the British Knife Association to protect their right to keep and bear knives.

Meanwhile, here in America, where every single statistic shows that legal gun owners are the last people to commit violent crimes, this same country in which our Constitution guarantees us, via the Second Amendment, the right of gun ownership, we have to wrangle over that right with a bunch of wannabe Marxists.
