I have discovered an acceptable four step program of exercising... great for seniors:

1) Hold a 5-lb. potato sack in each hand.

Stretch each arm out from your sides and hold the potato sacks up as long as possible. When proficient, proceed to step two...

2) Hold a 10-lb. potato sack in each hand.

Stretch each arm out from your sides and hold the potato sacks up as long as possible. When proficient, proceed to step three...

3) Hold a 25-lb. potato sack in each hand.

Stretch each arm out from your sides and hold the potato sacks up as long as possible. When proficient, proceed to step four...

4) Now, if you really feel stout, put a potato back in each sack and repeat the workout. Add potatoes as you seem fit to do.

Now, this is something I can work with!!
Are there any time restrictions on completing each step, or can I go at my own pace?

It is totally voluntary...thus, at one's discretion.

At the first sign of perspiration, sit down and have a beer.

This, of course, is to re-hydrate.

You could place small containers of mashed potatoes in each sack and have them at the end of your exercise time.

It only makes sense you throw in some meatloaf and homemade biscuits, maybe apple pie for dessert...broccoli for fibre. :-P

Recycling the 'hydration' is also critical.

Yeah, you sing and I'll turn the pages. Your 'exersize' consists of bending the elbow to the mouth. I am just jealous I am not as proficient as you in this regard.

Semper Fi ol' buddy!!!

A quote from my brother seems appropriate here:

"I don't jog. It makes the ice slosh out of my scotch."
