How awesome... Those were our parents just different faces... I had a dad, 2 Uncles, 3 Great Uncles 2 Grand Fathers and a step Dad, who all served as Sailors, Navy Pilots, Merchant Seamen... Makes me proud... As I understand it, one or the other fought in every battle in the Pacific, from 1941 till 1954... Yes, Korea... One Uncle was like me as a teenager, so he join at 16, he was a real big guy 6'4", in 1939... He got out a Chief Boilermaker... My dad's brother was a pilot, git out in 52 as a Lt. Commander... My other Uncle was a flying crewman on PBY's , he got as a ensign, pretty cool... Bother grand fathers and two Great Uncles sailed the North Atlantic from 1935 till 1955, as Merchantmen, one got out a Commander, two other chiefs and one a First Class, he drank a little, he got sober and help start the first AA meeting in Washington Township, CA, they called Five Cities, still there same place all these years, the Township has became Fremont, CA... You weren't lying about the clarity of the photos :!:

Just an observation: The unidentified soldier eating on top of the ammo shells looks remarkably like Mario Cuomo...but isn't.
