As for the oh so poorly named Defund the cops idea.. it was an effort to reorganize the cops, not desband them , but that makes poor right wing BS stories so it was not mentioned.. In Mpls the referendum was defeated, but many of the changes were made to the force anyway.. and as crime in Mpls is down the last two years.. darn it may have worked. trained individuals to handle mental and domestic problems as well as some others and that got done..

Your side has painted all police as r****t bad guys who look to murder black and brown people regardless of their actions against the police. There are "bad apples" who are police as well to be sure. Better training and enforcement of policing rules as when to employ lethal means for self-defense, and outlawing certain chokeholds that could be lethal means of restraint are proactive means of good police policies.
