Why Obamacare won't let you keep your insurance plan

The three-minute video embedded below does a great job explaining why Obamacare keeps forcing people out of their existing health insurance plans and will continue to do so. Robert Graboyes is a senior research fellow at George Mason Universitys Mercatus Center, and he synthesized a lot of technical details into a highly understandable presentation (hat tip: The Daily Signal) that can be shared with friends via Facebook, Twitter, and other social media. Is this a glitch or a feature? Why would the architects (think people like Jonathan Gruber) deliberately devise such a system to inconvenience people? My guess is that they didnt think through the implications; they just wanted the clarity of four distinctive tiers. Intellectuals and social engineers are like that their grand plans always run smack into reality and founder, and the architects are not nearly as smart as they think.
But maybe there is something I do not grasp in the design.
