Christmas is nearly here and my buddy won't be singing this year

For many years my old Army buddy, Tom Glover, has entertained the people of his community near Trenton, New Jersey. He has a couple of concerts each summer and has always done this one at Christmas time. He sings mostly old time songs at the summer shows and Christmas carols for the winter one. It may sound like nothing but old people come to the shows that are free but younger people also appreciate his music.

He won't be performing tomorrow night, however, since his wife of 60 years, Judy, passed away in the hospital last night. I am sure that those older people of Hamilton, NJ will miss him tomorrow.

Here is a sample of the kind of things Tom wrote for local news papers very successfully. He has served for about 25 years as a columnist and a historian in the local library. People really enjoy reading his memory type of things about the local school.

Thank you all for your sympathy for Tom. I am hoping he is a bit tougher than he seemed to be nearly 60 years ago. I haven't seen him in nearly that long and am sure I wouldn't recognize him since he was so nearly completely bald back then and got a hair piece, and has continued with it since. He has written some outstanding pieces about the good old days for his newspaper and I didn't even know he had any abilities in that direction.

Thanks,again.
