For those of you who have been living on Mars, S.744, the "Immigration Bill," is now on the Senate floor. These worthies, in between patting themselves on the back, have moved the bill right along. They are so very proud of themselves for even considering v****g in favor of a bill that, in direct contradiction to all of it's original selling points, does not secure the border, does not finish implementing E verify,has no provision for immediate implementation of entry/exit visas, does contain a provision for i******s paying back taxes, (until you read the fine print), and expects us to believe that these i******s will not be receiving benefits from the government they are not entitled to. (Most of them already receive them, anyway, do you think they plan on stopping?
These clowns expect us to believe that the 11,000,000 i******s already here will somehow stop abusing the entitlement system they are so adept at gaming. Sure they will. These "starry eyed immigrants" are by and large, mooches, illegally in this country, illegally receiving benefits, committing crimes far out of proportion to their daily increasing numbers, and this bill is some sort of "magic wand" that will make it stop?
The Administration, in the person of DHS Secretary Napolitano, has made the spurious claim that " border is more secure than it has ever been." The rank and file Immigration Agents, (who, by the way, are suing the Government over this travesty), tell a different story. According to their data, illegal crossings are up as much as 300 percent in some areas, and are increasing all across the border. The 11,000,000 wetbacks already here will be joined, over the next 10 years or so, by an estimated 20,000,000 more of their now legal brethren, most of whom have the equivalent of a 10th grade education, and who will swamp the job market.

Now for the 800 pound gorilla in the room: 30,000,000 new entitlement recipients, crushing an already failing system. Most of this will occur several years from now, giving the morons who concocted this scheme plenty of time to find a scapegoat to blame. Call your Senators, tell them their actions will have consequences, and call your Congressmen, who may have to save us from the weasels in the Senate.

You are making sense. I don't know how they all feel, but I have some Chinese friends who are pretty damn mad. They did it the legal way, jumped through all the bureaucratic hoops, and have NEVER taken Food Stamps, or Welfare.
They have not taken any freebies, unlike the hordes of l***hes coming up from Mexico.

Why, AunTie? In my short experince of this site, trying to point out discrepancies of facts about things which can be easily verified, has only led to either disputing the facts via right wing conspiracy sites and insult me, or ignoring the facts as "left wing media propaganda" and insult me.

In the last e******n, we saw pollsters and fact-checkers and reputable government institutions with decades of impeccable reputations be openly accused in being part of a liberal conspiracy. The only "t***h" became for the conservative what they heard on Faux News or conspiracy theory sites, like Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh. Anything that did not tell the same theme that the neocons wanted to hear was distrusted and attacked.

The difficulty I encounter with your response is rather then provide information on the Senate Bill, you complain about the site and your treatment here. You further go on about pollsters, radio talk show individuals and attitudes during the last e******n.

Basically, you provided nothing. If you find us so difficult and trying, perhaps seeking another site would be more suitable to you mental state.

AuntiE, you mistake complaint for simple observaions. I mentioned the total denial of many conservatives in regards to pollsters, fact-checkers, etc. around the 2012 e******n as a segue into the fact that, it seems, no amount of facts wil deter or even dent what many conservatives want to believe. Any facts or supporting fact-checkers I might provide will, as I have experienced over and over and over again the last four years, only result in being on the seeming conspiracy and a low down dirty liberal.
