I don't know the facts here. I do know there have been leaks before, some have been treated harshly, some have been ignored. It seems to me that leaks pertaining to soldiers are more readily forgiven than leaks that threaten civilians within our government are dealt with more harshly.
I certainly don't want any American getting hurt as a result of a leak, but if a leak is done to protect AMERICANS against enemy, either foreign or within our own government, I WANT THAT LEAK LEAKED BECAUSE IT NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE TO LEAK. We have an over-reaching government these days that seems to believe it is a little spicy GOD and citizens are mere bits of riff-raff placed on earth expressly to bother them. I deplore that attitude, and I think that attitude puts them more in danger than anything some leaker tells the world.
Another wandering thought here: if America must make secrets so very dangerous that it causes America to have to assassinate an American, why not have less dangerous secrets, thereby sparing all Americans? If this "leak" gets anyone k**led, it is because the persons the leak was about were doing something that probably spurred their deaths and was essentially their own fault. I don't think we are talking about foreign agents here. We are talking about American agents here acting unconstitutionally - or that's what I've understood. When an American official does something so bad, so gross to Americans that he has to fear for his life if it becomes public knowledge, then I think it's great that that detail is leaked. Americans deserve a better government that what we have. We have PAID for a better government than what we have. Our politicians ASSUME we will continue to be quiet little sheep and will do as ORDERED. NEWS FLASH: Not going to happen!
