You are the joy of the Lord
Zephaniah 3:17
"The Lord your God is mighty in your midst! He will deliver! He will rejoice enthusiastically over you with joy! He will rest in His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."
His love for us is so great that He finds us a great joy. How often has someone told you that you were their joy - as a young child, when you were in love and courting? Can you think of times other than that? How quickly we fade from that treasured spot with others, but we remain there with God. Even when we sin, we can regain a place with the Lord by confessing and apologizing, He is always ready to forgive us and take us tenderly into the fold.
When others fail us, fall short of our expectations, He is always there to offer far more than we deserve. Do not take His love lightly, for it is a treasure without measure. Hold it next to your heart, near and dear. He remains faithful even when we disappoint Him. He is always ready to pick us up when we fall. Never take His love for granted, it is far too valuable. Thank You Lord, be with us this day.
