Dems have played that game before, cave a bit, give a little bit, and the holdouts would say it's not good enough and would demand more past that point. Which is why Biden is waiting for republicans to put a hard list of what they want together...so he can force them to show their colors and then refuse on those grounds.

The reason Biden is at Camp David, plans to be at the beach? There isn't anything Biden can do even if he wanted to, and he doesn't, he is telling them their ideas sound fine, take them to the next budget talks and put them up against dems revenue builders.

Oh what BS!! But ok. Aren't they all going on recess next week or something like that?? I think the importance of this is manufactured and both sides are playing politics. I think the GOP has Biden in a vice on this one so if it does go bad, it is just another thing on Biden and the democrats. The biggest reason is Biden's bragging that he would not deal on anything regarding cuts; that only a clean bill to raise he debt ceiling is what he would accept. And just like that and just like Trump has done a few times in the past, Biden has painted the dem's and himself into a corner.

The next step is Schumer's and/or biden's. biden said all along that he wouldn't negotiate without a clean stand alone debt limit bill first. Only then, the Republicans loose their negotiating chip and all bets are off. The democrats would never give an inch. They have played that game in the past. F them.
