I like to think my grandparents if they came back today would not be ashamed of which side of the whole L***Q nonsense I have chosen to be on. They very likely would be appalled at what has become of Western Culture.

Unlike some I do not reject the values I was taught as a child. I guess many folks need to be trendy, with it, up to date, modern, and fit in with wh**ever the current crowd says is fashionable. Right now the freaks rule the world, but as always fashions change. One day the freaks will be out of fashion and out of power, and I will not have to change. I will already be ahead of the curve.

It has always been my life's ambition to be one of the cool kids. The hope that in 20-40 years I can once again be a cool kid gives me a reason to live. That and the hope that the girls I had crushes on in JR High School will finally like me means, damn I will be pretty freaking wrinkled and decrepit whenever I decide to check out.

I like old movies and TV shows. I believe the answers to all of life's problems can be found there. I used to love watching the old Superman shows made in the 1950s with George Reeves as Superman. I viewed them in the 60s. Anyway, there was this episode where Jimmy Olsen was held prisoner in some Latin American country, and was about to face a firing squad.

Of course you knew he would be saved at the last second by Superman, but before that happened he was given the traditional last request. I always loved his answer. " If you don't mind Sir, I would like to die of old age. "

That has been another of my lifelong goals. It seems funny that possibility is the very best outcome any of us ever get.
