What is today, June 6?

I have noticed that nobody has mentioned this very historically significant day yet. It was 69 years ago today that the movie, "The Longest Day" was made about. I will always remember the old Frenchman going wild about the fact that the day had come. That would have been the invasion of France by the Allies to attain the freeing of France and the rest of Europe from German control. The day that is commonly known to we oooold people at "D-Day" has been largely forgotten by our people since I am sure that little is said about it in our public schools these days.

I will never be able to forget that day and how it seemed so important to those of us who were just ready to enter Jr. High. I know that most of you here weren't around then but do wonder why so few take the opportunity to talk about days like that from WW II. Yep, I know that was a long time ago according to Jay Carney and his measurement of time since B******i.

I doubt if the schools today would present the invasion of n**i Europe in a positive context if they even present it at all. Wh**ever history is being taught is so warped that those who lived through it would not recognize it.

Notice how the lame stream medias are avoiding it also? They don't want to bring up the subject knowing it will reflect exactly why we went into that war. It was to oppress the very tyranny the obozo is trying to impose on us today.
Welcome to the “Peoples Republik of Amerika”. Soon they will be rounding up the dissidents to place them in re-education camps.
Socialist bastards!

I can't wait for them to come to my door to send me off to one of those camps. It won't ever happen because I will shoot as many of them as I can before they either do the same for me or throw my scrawny old ass in jail.

I wonder how many people saw the short thing about D-Day on Fox's Megyn Kelly show today about 12:30. At least one of the media mentioned it, even if too briefly.

I am well aware of the significance of June 6, 1944. As is my uncle, who landed on Utah Beach. He's still thankful it wasn't Omaha. Nine days. later, my other uncle landed on a piece of real estate known as Saipan. A third uncle was at Anzio. My father, somewhat older, was recalled into the Army Air Force Reserves. My family's military service includes my grandfather, father, myself, 3 uncles and 4 cousins, a nephew, and a grandson currently on active duty. I think we have done our share. I also, if I may be so presumptive, think that gives me far more of a right to voice my opinion than a Liberal twit who has never served, and who tries to judge the mountain of someone else's real life experiences and informed observations from the molehill of their detached from reality theoretical constructs, sometimes known as "wishful thinking," or less charitably as "horses**t."

I lost 2 of my maternal uncles, 1 in the Philippines a grunt soldier, and one in the Aleutian Islands while flying with the Army Air Corps up there...
Never had the opportunity to know either one and will NEVER forgive the Japs for it!

It is a bit late to put this up here but it does belong here and tells me some things that I never have known about Omaha Beach.
