6-year-old boy who shot his teacher previously said he wanted to light her on fire and watch her die, report says.

The boy wrote a note to Zwerner which said that he h**ed her and wanted to light her on fire and watch her die. When she reported the note to Richneck administrators, Zwerner was told to drop the matter.

On one occasion, the boy threw furniture and other items around in class, which led to the other children hiding under their desks, per the account.

The boy's family said that he had "an acute disability".

Zwerner had requested help to deal with the young student "two hours prior" as well as "all year".

Superintendent Parker said that hours before the boy shot the teacher, a school administrator was told the child may have brought a gun to school. He said that workers at the school searched the boy's backpack but did not find the 9mm semi-automatic pistol legally-owned by his mother.

Now, who should "Pay the Piper" on this one?

The 6 year old?

The mother?

Both parents?

The School Superintendent?

Both parents and the boy should permanently barred from owning, or possessing, any firearm:

That won't happen.

How did a six year old get a hold of a loaded gun? I doubt he bought it a Walmart. The parents should have been required to take a gun safety course. Also parent's should held responsible for all of the teacher's medical bills and loss of salary. She has only been released from the hospital recently.

You think that there ought to be a law, I think there ought to be a PARENT!

Both parents should face charges of felony "Reckless Endangerment", for the teachers wounds,

as well as "Felony Child Endangerment" for allowing a 6 year old unsupervised access to a loaded firearm.

The superintendent should be fired for the negligent lapse of security, on his watch!

Sadly, the 6 year old is doomed to becoming a doped up victim of our dysfunctional mental health care system.

People get k**led with guns, not by guns.

I defy you to provide even a single case where any gun has ever been proven to have committed any act whatsoever!

It's now time for you, Milosia2, to PUT UP, or SHUT UP!

There have been a lot of kids going to school with guns. Responsible gun owners are supposed to keep their guns locked up. I also thought schools had metal detectors now.

Non responsive, however, since you insist.

Since 1903, the earliest year of data available, the per capita rate of gun accident deaths has decreased 95 percent, from 3.1 to 0.14 deaths per 100,000 population. [1]
There were 458 fatal firearms-related accidents in 2018 – the lowest since at least 1903 – and the rate matched the record low of 0.14 per 100k population. [2]
Over the last 25 years, annual numbers of gun accident deaths have decreased by more than 66%.[3] Concurrently, Americans have acquired over 200 million new guns and today own approximately 407 million guns, an all-time high.[4]
Guns are involved in 0.27 percent of accidental deaths among the total population and 1.4 percent among children.[5]
Voluntary education decreases accidents. NRA firearm safety programs are conducted by nearly 116,000 NRA Certified Instructors and Range Safety Officers nationwide, reaching over one million program participants annually.[6] Youngsters learn firearm safety in NRA programs offered through civic groups such as the Boy Scouts, the Jaycees, the American Legion, and schools.
NRA’s Eddie Eagle GunSafe® program teaches children pre-K through 3rd grade that if they see a gun, they should not touch it, and should tell a grown-up. Since 1988, Eddie has been used by 28,000 school teachers and law enforcement officers to reach more than 31 million children.[7]

You can often be counted on to make incredibly juvenile comments.

Obviously they were irresponsible. They are to blame for this and should never be allowed to have one again nor should that child be
