Republicans lose because they're f**e populists with no real policy plans... As harsh as it sounds, I agree with most of its article..

Reading that article was a strange experience for me. I don't usually think of "populism" as a good thing; but when he contrasts it with "oligarchy" I begin to see a positive aspect of it. Some of the points in the article are good.

I would agree with some of the words in your subject heading. "no real policy plans": I had a hunch that was true. "F**e": maybe. But I think more than half of the Republicans in Congress now are some kind of "populist" -- probably not a good kind.

It is hard to point out the benefits of freedom, when your goal is to allow people to solve their own problems.

I imagine so. But you could be a little less terse and explain further. It looks like a profound thought.

If people only "solve their own problems" without help (and without helping others, either), then maybe a lot of them won't be able to figure out for themselves "the benefits of freedom". But with a little cooperative mingling they might appreciate more ideas and perspectives about that.
