You may recall the effort made by right wing lunatics to recall Governor Newsom. Newsom's win in 2018 was 61%. He beat the recall with 67%. See, Californians prefer to do things as THEY wish and really don't give a damn if some outsider doesn't like it. The right wing thought that they were going to pull the same crap that they pulled on Gray Davis. They know that they cannot win in a state wide open and free e******n. They rely on subterfuge due to being devoid of ideas, programs or policies. We all know the states where the right wingers have control and we also know that the bottom half of states in average income are all red states. Maine comes in at #35 and Michigan at #32. Other than those two states, the bottom for the right wing extends to #25. Since all you guys are so positive that Democrats are such a disaster, I'm sure that you can explain why those in states run by right wingers are living with less than those who have told the right wing to go home and shut up.

Have you ever been to California? There is a reason that it is the 5th largest economy in the world while the "paradise" where you hang out would have to quadruple to get an honorable mention with an asterisk. We are the largest economy in the country other than the country itself. We do things a bit differently than the rest of the country so why does it seem to work so much better than what is being done in so many of the more backward states? We certainly have our problems. With the largest population of any state in the country problems are a given. We just seem to handle them better and have a tendency to handle them ourselves. Where we go forward, the right wingers complain, use i***tic words like "c*******t" and try to recall our governor (ha, ha)
put up bills to try and split the state and any other maniacal hair brained thing they can come up with. What they don't ever come up with, though, are ideas, programs, propositions or anything else that is better for the people of the state than what is being done now. So you go right ahead and fantasize about California being a gulag while the people of California enjoy the most beautiful state in the union and the one where people care more for people than they do for worn, hackneyed, nonsensical "precepts" emanating from a right wing concept of religion and "the right thing".

Science is a developing field of knowledge. Believe it or not, there are very many things that we do not know. As we gain knowledge, opinions and programs change to fit the new situations. The right wing loves to say "see, they were wrong!". Holy s**t! What a revelation! A scientific discovery proves that something that was believed has been proven to be inaccurate. Has that never happened before? Is it your theory that disease can be cured by bleeding a patient like it was done when the constitution was written and was, therefore, the only "right" way? Did the right wingers go crazy when it was shown to be detrimental and that the procedure was coming to an end?
Alternative energy sources are constantly being discovered, improved, and producing more and more of the electricity that the nation needs. The chances of a total elimination of f****l f**ls is very close to zero. The ability of alternative energy sources contributing to those needs at an 80 to 85% level are in the very foreseeable future.
In the last 5 days I have driven from Marin county North of San Francisco to Las Vegas for a business meeting. From there I had to go to Palm Springs and then back to San Francisco. In the process I drove by dozens of wind farms and some of the most sophisticated solar facilities in the world. The wind farms were maintained and the blades turning. Your belief that wind farms are in a shamble are simply absurd.
