One of those critics is commentator Tim Young, and in a piece published this week by American Greatness, he suggested that conservatives should turn to the courts for relief.Fact-check used by Twitter to limit reachYoung recalled the reaction to a tweet he put out following Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death in 2020.

Just a reminder that Ruth Bader Ginsburg could have casually retired at 80 yrs old under Obama and been replaced by an ultra progressive in their 40s... but they chose not to.
It's not Republicans' or Trump's fault that they get the opportunity to push through a new justice.
His statement then became the subject of a fact-check by USA Today whose headline read, “No guarantee Obama would’ve replaced Ginsburg with a progressive justice.”
Young then pointed to another fact-checking exercise directed towards a tweet in which he compared the amount of attention Johnny Depp’s lawsuit against Amber Heard received with that directed towards Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial.
Around the WebIn response, a fact-checking group called Verify This rated his tweet as “false” because not all courts have the same camera polices.
The rating was then used as an excuse by Twitter to issue a warning that Young had shared false information. According to Young, this is “how the modern ‘fact-checking’ regime works.”
Lawsuits challenging social media censorship“They don’t like your opinion, so they add ‘context’ that wasn’t there in the first place, then disprove the context they added, knowing you will be f**gged and possibly suspended from social media,” he explained.
“There aren’t many ways to rectify these actions by the regime in our time,” complained, but added that two figures may be “onto something.”
“Rogan O’Handley, known as DC Draino on Instagram began bringing lawsuits with the help of Harmeet Dhillon against social media companies and the state of California for censoring his opinions after the 2020 e******n,” Young noted.
“Perhaps it’s time for class action lawsuits against these major media companies and the reporters who feel empowered to cancel others’ free speech with their own opinions,” he asserted.
