The Republicans were not elected to compromise. If the v**ers wanted compromise, or wanted the House and Senate to work with Obama, they would have elected Democrats! Still don't get it do you?

The Republicans are still barely over half of the American peoples' representatives. And the President is also still our representative also.

Workable compromise is the order of the day....unless one thinks a one party government is ideal.

There are some sensible dems in office and I hope they have the back bone to step up and finally do what's right....the rest of them can kiss our butt.

If they don't compromise with Obama on things they both want, then in two years the repugs will once again be the bad guys and the swing could be much worse than they anticipate. All they have to do is stop blocking obama ideas and democratic bills by putting things like the repeal of obamacare on bill which actually could benefit the public and generate jobs.

Continued obstruction in the name of not letting the dems get credit for anything will cause a huge backlash. I think the repug position is very tenuous. The new republican senators are in a good position but those who come up for re-e******n in 2016 are not in a position to refuse to cooperate.

McConnell seems a bit wild to me. I personally didn't see a willingness in him to do anything but grand stand. His intent is to do anything he can to make the democrats look bad, again, as has been his goal since Obama became president, no matter if its good for the country or not. He's a bad man.

He will win it for them or lose it big for them.

I apologize being a little strong right now, some compromise is good, but it's not why we came out and v**ed we v**ed for some backbone, and I want to see strong leadership, that is what we need to right all the bs the left has given us.

I can understand that....e******ns have consequences and Republicans won. I do not approve of vilifying the loyal opposition (either party), and am eagerly awaiting the next session of Congress to see how this plays out.
