Sen. Tim Scott: NAACP Now Practices 'Philosophical Bigotry'

Wednesday, 22 Jan 2014 06:17 AM

By Greg Richter

While the NAACP once stood for equal rights for minorities, it now has turned to "philosophical bigotry," says Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C.

The Rev. William Barber, president of the North Carolina NAACP, called Scott a ventriloquist dummy for the tea party in a Martin Luther King Day speech on Monday. Scott is the only black Republican serving in the U.S. Senate.

Urgent: Do You Approve Or Disapprove of President Obama's Job Performance? V**e Now in Urgent Poll

Fox News Channel's Megyn Kelly read a statement from the NAACP on Tuesday that did not include an apology.

"Dr. King emphasized love and justice rather than extremism. Unless we stand for justice, we cannot claim allegiance to or pay homage to Dr. King, period," the NAACP statement read. "In a state such as South Carolina, politicians, whether they be black or white, should not be echoing the position of the far right."

Scott called the statement "absolutely ridiculous," explaining he is a conservative because liberal programs such as the War on Poverty have failed. Groups such as the NAACP should be willing to listen to Republican ideas, he said.

CNN reported that Scott had declined to "reflect seriously" on Barber's comments.

"Instead, I will honor the memory of Dr. King by being proactive in holding the door for others and serving my fellow man," Scott told CNN. "And Rev. Barber will remind me and others of what not to do."

The State reported the comments as part of a Barber speech criticizing b****s who don't live up to King's ideals, including black youths who k**l others and "who wear their pants down to their knees."

Ann Coulter Defends “Our B****s Are Better Than Their B****s” Statement



Republican b****s are better than Democrat b****s. In the mind of Ann Coulter, that’s a fact. Coulter made the “our b****s are better than their b****s” statement earlier this week on Fox News, and she stood by the claim last night while talking to Joy Behar.

Coulter said on Fox News:

“Our b****s are so much better than their b****s… To become a black Republican, you don’t just roll into it. You’re not going with the flow. You have fought against probably your family members, probably your neighbors, you have thought everything out and that’s why we have very impressive b****s in our party.”

According to the NY Daily News, Coulter points to Herman Cain, Michael Steele, and Allen West as examples of impressive black Republicans.

HLN’s Joy Behard asked Coulter if she believed “all the African Americans who are Democrats are stupid?”

Coulter said:

“No. I’m saying Google Maxine Waters, Cynthia McKinney, John Conyers, and then Google Allen West, Michael Steele or Herman Cain. … Ours are more impressive. There’s no question about it.”

Coulter also claims that people are only r****t against conservative African-Americans and not liberals. Coulter said:

“The only r****m you hear in America is against conservative b****s.”

Coulter isn’t the only one pulling out the race card. Yesterday, Donald Trump accused Jon Stewart of making r****t remarks against Herman Cain.

But Coulter’s claim that “the only r****m you hear in America is against conservative b****s” doesn’t really hold up. I seem to remember seeing a sign somewhere before…

Ann Coulter Defends “Our B****s Are Better Than Th... (show quote)

Right on cue: Democrats and Liberals spew ‘Uncle Tom’ r****t hatred after S.C. GOP Sen. Tim Scott’s historic win.

During the e******n, liberal Democrats used the race card in an attempt to label all Republicans as r****t. But when Tim Scott an African-American won his Senate race in South Carolina, liberals on Twitter went ballistic, Twitchy said Tuesday, hurling racial slurs against Scott, even though he has the honor of being the first African-American elected to the Senate from that state and the first elected to a statewide office since post Civil War Reconstruction. (you would think they would be happy and glad an African-American was elected. But no. He's not a democrat. He's a republican. Can't have that.)

"Tim Scott is a d**n Uncle Tom," one sore loser said on Twitter. "Yeah Tim Scott is the biggest Uncle Tom," another person said.

"You are not the first Uncle Tom," added another Twitter user. "Clarence Thomas wins."

"Nikki Haley wins in South Carolina," said a very angry Twitter critic. "Tim Scott "Uncle Tom" n***er is back. Lindsey Graham too. UGH. I h**e the world." Hatred and r****m from liberals and democrats.

"Bitter liberal r****m," Twitchy said. "It’s a recurring theme of the night on Twitter."

Scott was first appointed to the Senate by Gov. Nikki Haley in December 2012 when Jim DeMint retired to head up the conservative Heritage Foundation. At the time, NBC played the race card while liberals online hurled r****t epithets. Typical democrats. If you are black you "have to be" a democrat. It is in your DNA. You must be democrat.

He served in the House from 2011-2013 and was part of the influential House Rules Committee. Prior to that, he served on the Charleston County Council for 13 years and spent two years in the South Carolina House of Representatives.

After defeating Democrat Joyce Dickerson on Tuesday, Scott became the first black senator to be elected by popular v**e in the South, the Huffington Post said. He is also the first to be elected to both the House and the Senate. The victory also comes on the heels of claims by Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., that southerners are r****t and sexist. No doubt, if Scott were a Democrat, the critics on Twitter would be singing a much different tune.

The hypocrisy shown by liberal democrats is nothing new. As we have reported time and again, conservative b****s are often targeted with racial h**e from those who claim Republicans are r****t.

Compare and contrast - Clarence Thomas and Bill Clinton.
Assume all the charges leveled by one woman against Thomas to be true. Assume only half of the women leveling charges against Clinton to be true, and those telling the t***h exaggerated their allegations.

Clarence Thomas is a black man with conservative political views - and as such is subject to any and all vilification by liberals of all colors, using the worst racial and g****r stereotyping in their efforts.

Bill Clinton is a while liberal, and as such any personal behavior involving anything sexual is nothing more than his business.

Yes, racial prejudice is widely acceptable for use on any black with the gumption to be conservative -

It's OK to depict Condi Rice as house s***e, Clarence Thomas as an over sexed intellectual lightweight, Col. West as a dumb ground pounding GI -

but to question Maxine W's intellect is r****t.

Is there a more r****ts mindset than one that demands a person's skin color dictate their politics?
