Given the results of this e******n, what do you folks would happen if Mr. Obama were to issue executive orders concerning the border problem?

If the Republican congress decides to do their job and deal with immigration reform, the executive branch can relax and let the law-making begin (finally).

There may be enough job scared Democrats in the Senate now to override the Executive Order. I think that it would be legislated to death. defunded in the House, and "ridered on a rail" in the Senate. I think Democrats have gotten a rude wake-up call about the mood of the country concerning wetbacks. No compromise. Secure the Border, deport the i******s. If Mexico doesn't like it, maybe we should annex Sonora and Chihuahua and deport all the i******s from there, further south. I hear San Luis Potosi' is nice this time of year.

Were to issue?

I think Senor Manure WILL issue that and throw the borders wide open.

It's punishment for the American V**er kicking his royal ass.

I think there will be defunding of the whole initiative by Congress, hopefully followed by impeachment proceedings.

Last time I checked, Congress also has pens and phones and more importantly the power of the purse strings

It's about time the Congress uses all their pens and phones and legislative powers and actually propose legislation to deal with the problem of immigration.

Enforcing the laws we HAVE would be a good start.

It will hit the fan if he declares it officially open.

=========================================

But those pens and phones are monitered by the NSA so that the dems, including Obama, can read all their correspondence.

I keep hearing about the need for comprehensive immigration reform. Doesn't that mean new legislation?

His executive order will arrive soon. The Congress, in the 2 or 3 days they plan to work for the rest of this year, will do nothing, as the previous majority holds until the 2015 Congress is sworn in next year. I sincerely doubt that immigration reform will be the first on their docket even then. They will have billions of dollars of campaign donation paybacks to accomplish above all else and the rich folk won't wait long for the promised returns on their investments. After all, the 2016 e******ns are just around the corner and all those politicians will want billions more.

:-D :-D Good things are on the horizon. The majority of America has just demanded it. We have to pay for Obama's F-ups so let's hope Congress finds a way of doing that without taxing our future with "more of the same", borrowing. Fixes are already on the table in the House waiting for Reid's departure. What will we do without Dirty Harry leading the way ?

This seems like a good place to interject. If Mr. Obama does as he says he will, I believe he will be impeached. Not only that, he could really screw any chance the Dems have at the White House in 2 years. I wonder if he's that dumb.

The next two years will identify the severity of his narcissism.

Maybe sooner. All those recently elected Republicans aren't in office yet. He has a couple of months before he has to deal with them.
