Come on, anyone with a functioning brain knows it doesn't work like that, this was a legal search and seizure, done by the book...and the fact remains that republicans do not know anything about what they were seizing, or what it's related to.

Trump has had months to turn over documents, in fact he supposedly already had but apparently had not turned over everything being looked for. He has been jerking the DOJ around now for years claiming non existent executive privileges that would apply to the circumstances involved.

My guess is that this move was incredibly well thought out as far as how it will be used, you don't shoot at big game and miss. Because of the optics of this one can only speculate that Garland is 100% sure of where this is going and how it will be used.
