Why Right vs Left?

Most of the posts I see focus on the differences between right vs left. We need to get back to where we are similar vs radically different and need to stop slinging hatred, name calling and do more non judgmental listening to others opinions and statements. Where are we alike: First We are all individual people first(regardless of race, color, creed, sex or sexual orientation) with freedom to express our views without retaliation. Each opinion is valid and valuable and needs to be heard and listened to. We don’t have to agree, but we must continue “civil” discussions to seek to understand. Second we are mostly all US citizens or foreigners who look up to and care about the success of our Democracy and our constitution. No Democrats or Republicans are I quote(POS, C****es, F*****t, Socialist etc) just due to the party they relate to. These are terms used by groups trying to fire up there constituents. Talk of seceding from the Union is contrary to Constitution, to our Democracy and is unpatriotic. We have better ways to solve differences than violence or violent rhetoric or secession. Maybe we should go back to the thoughts of the 60’s/70’s ,the love generation and take more time to love and understand each other regardless of political party. No one is perfect including me so we have to be more patient and more civil with each other and it will make this forum more powerful . I use the input I get to send letters to my Congressman and or WH(three sent so far and one visit with congressman) . Let not be silent. Let the opinions roll!

I agree that there are extremists on the left and right, and they tend to drive the rhetoric. But most Americans are in the middle.

Where I find great problems with the left is that the former Democrat Party has been taken over in large part by extreme left wing ideology by slowly absorbing the former C*******t Party. They realized that they couldn't win outright so they disbanded and moved into the Democrat Party. We now have the democrat party and with the slightest majorities I can ever remember, they are acting like a major dominating force reshaping America to its own interests, and not those of the majority of Americans. There are to damn many policies that have come from this new democrat party to mention, but they are destroying American's military superiority, our moral superiority, and destroying our country from within by allowing our country to be invaded by many evil people from countries all over the world, that will bleed our resources while weakening our economy. I could go on and on.

We as Republicans and Conservatives are more interested in taking care of America first, so we have the strength to lead and guide the entire world into prosperity as independent free states, not one world order of dictatorships. Again. I could go on and on.

First I’ve heard of the c*******t party influx to Democratic Party,. You are correct I’m more mainstream Democrat but lean independent when radical left raises its head. I see political parties moving somewhat like wealth going richer and poorer with smaller middle class/ mainstream. I also see more where money talks in politics, rich and strong lobby PAC’s fund to many politician, get bulk of advertising campaign budget for e******ns convincing v**ers their candidates are the best. It’s no longer, track record, character, decision making, it’s charisma when speaking and $$. Strongly feel campaign money needs to be more consoled and t***sparent. I’ll noodle on your other thoughts as new view for me.

There is no common ground anymore, the right has created a degree of alternative facts that are opposite of the facts that people don't know what to believe anymore. Real facts are lies and the lies are their t***h because so many believe them

Well said, but I’m not giving up on stating facts, and trying to have meaningful civil, non judgemental discussion. Thanks for the comments.

The moderates in both parties need to talk also both parties need to call out the radical elements of both parties!! I agree that there has been a increasing
Tilt towards Socialism/c*******m by the Democrats with little regard to the views of moderates members the same could be said of the far right. The primary question is who is going to rise above the fighting in the trenches to get sh!t done for all of the people!

The left does the same thing. Your post shows you deny that reality and only contribute to this country’s problems

I find that your mind set you use when you look at things makes a huge difference in your viewpoint. If I look at a rose bush and only find thorns it’s only because that’s what I was looking for, & I miss the roses. In todays political world once someone is identified as right all left sees is thorns and visa versa. Also we are so polarised we can’t civilly discuss opinions or work out mutually understandings. We’ve put people in boxes and view them according to their box. All righties are and all lefties are. Well I don’t fit any box, I’m an individual that wants to try and discuss understand and try to formulate my own view. Name calling classifying all people based on their party as I’ve seen( clowns, POS, stupid, ignorants, liars, etc.) is based on point of view and box you see people in and does absolutely Nothing to advance discussions to consensus even if it’s to agree to disagree. Example in point: Mar A Largo search minimal facts are out as FBI & DOJ do not discuss open investigations to protect those involved. The conspiracy theories, finger pointing, potential false claims fill the void of silence, based on view or box one is in. It’s Politicised, no one but FBI has facts, (President must have known, he’s lying etc). I read that a copy of the search warrant is provided to people being searched- if true no word from them-why, FBI did not notify press of search- who did? Why. We need to wait for facts stop politicisation of everything organizations doing while their job do. If they messed up take action to hold accountable through proper channels. Seek to understand, then take action.

First I’ve heard of the c*******t party influx to ... (show quote)

It was former Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev who said something to the effect that we don't have to go to war for c*******m to conquer you. You will do it yourself from within.

I also had the fact of the t***sformation of the democrat party pointed out to me. And it all seems to fall into place after that. In brief, as I know it, the c*******t part of America eventually realized that their name was toxic and they were never going to convince America to go their way. So they disbanded and joined the democrat party as individuals and just supporters, working from within to slowly pull them to the left. The likes of Sen. Sanders sure helped. He pretends he is a socialist. But what sort of American would go to Moscow in the height of the Cold War for his honeymoon.

While I was always for the Republican Party, I can't say the party of old was all bad. But as I see it, they are just getting worse by the day. Actual C*******ts like the last Mayor of New York are examples of their hard left swing. It was obama who came in and said he was going to fundamentally t***sform America. And his mentor in his youth was an avowed C*******t. There is even speculation that he was obama's real father. While B. Clinton was an over the hill democrat, he was more interested in pussy then changing America. H. Clinton I believe is evil and into power and control and would pull any dirty deed necessary to get and attain power. biden is I believe a tool/fool of obama who is pulling his strings from behind the scene, and through people in his cabinet. After that their is "Who knows what", Swamp, New World Order based on a c*******t blue print and pure dictatorship. They will use any means.

Stay strong in those beliefs of a centrist independent democrat. Eventually if we can defeat these extremists, we will need a decent independent democrat party to balance against the Republicans. Yes, even the Republicans need an opposition to keep them honest, and for real true American values, and a partner to help them bring America back to greatness. As soon as we can rid America of those vast numbers of extremists on the left and the much fewer radicals on the right and get back to more of the middle and a balanced system.

Cheers and have a nice day.

Good thoughts. I did some research on c*******t party that stopped actively putting forth a P**********l candidate do to very poor v**er support, then many did move toward the Democratic Party. Platform wise the biggest similarity was the green initiative were highly touted by C*******ts, most of the other policies ,I’m not seeing in radical left and definitely not in Democratic platform . They are working to influence Democratic Party where they can. To my knowledge and based on reading , no C*******t Party card holders are in Congress- it would be disclosed according to processes I read.

I agree. Many posts here are highly partisan and unrealistic.
