TERM LIMITS would go a long way to solving some of this. I hope the AZ RNC uses this to help oust kelly this November .. and sinema in 2024. And, of course, manchin, whenever he is up for re-e******n. They need to go.
What's to defend? Legislation has often been compared to making sausage. Not sure where you get the idea that Democrats h**e the rich....both parties benefit from being bought by the well off, especially after Citizens United. In the popular mythology, Democrats should favor the working class but heck....there's beaucoop money to made in politics now.
With the top 10% owning 70% of the wealth in the US, is it any wonder that both parties go where the money is?

I suspect the protests and r**ts of 2020 were just an appetizer to major upheavals spawned by an unsustainable distribution of wealth and power.

What we need in congress are
reasonable people who are willing to work together for the good of the country, instead of what we have now--two groups who work for themselves first, for their party second, and who believe that "divide and conquer" is the best way to stay in power and keep their cushy, grossly overpaid jobs
for life,and are willing to do wh**ever it takes to accomplish that goal. Career politicians are the bane of this country's existence. Limit the time they can "serve" and fewer of these self-serving, power seeking, money hungry do-nothing liars will even want to run for office. They will have to go elsewhere to find a different job where they can slime their way to the top without destroying the country.

That will never happen. Michelle Obama's mystique is entirely tied to her husband's 8 years in the White House. She has no political muscle on her own. Her fame would melt like a snowflake in July once she ran on her own. The Obama's tv adventure fizzled. Their time has passed.
