Don't think it has, it's part of the Democratic reconciliation package. Have to look into that.

We need to start withholding all politicians pay until they actually pass a balanced budget, as required by law. No more of this reconciliation bulls**t. Do your job or don't get paid, like in the real world.

Where were congress, both Democrats and Republicans these Veterans were complaining about their treatment under the Clinton, the Obama and Both Bush administrations. But it was President Trump who tried to change the VA for the betterment of all Veterans hum .

Actually some changes were made under Trump. My son who's is a disable veteran after five tours of duty in the middle east. He use to have to travel 2 1/2 to 3 hours for Vet med services. Now he has a local doctor and pharmacy access.

Facts are needed now..

Obama did the legislation which allowed the vets to use civilian hospitals and facilities.. trump did go along with that by funding the ongoing program. trump tried to take full credit for this program which was another Obama policy which he kept and claimed that he started it.. he did not, but he did continue it..

President Obama Signs Bill to Give the VA the Resources It Needs
AUGUST 7, 2014 AT 1:44 PM ET BY CAMERON BRENCHLEY
Summary: President Obama travels to Fort Belvoir, Virginia to sign the Veterans' Access to Care through Choice, Accountability, and T***sparency Act of 2014 – a bill providing the Department of Veterans Affairs the resources to improve access and quality of care for veterans.

2. Ensuring timely care:

For veterans who can’t get timely care through the VA, this bill will help them get the care they need someplace else. And this is particularly important for veterans who are in more remote areas, in rural areas. If you live more than 40 miles from a VA facility, or if VA doctors can’t see you within a reasonable amount of time, you’ll have the chance to see a doctor outside the VA system.

Facts are needed now.. br br Obama did the legis... (show quote)

He did take the first steps, however
"Update, July 6: On June 6, Trump signed the VA MISSION Act of 2018, a bipartisan bill that calls for a number of changes at the VA. The new law continues the Veterans Choice Program for a year, but then replaces it with the Veterans Community Care Program.

The new program expands the criteria for those who seek care outside of the VA health care system. For example, it allows a veteran to go to a private provider if the “covered veteran and the covered veteran’s referring clinician agree that furnishing care and services through a non-Department entity or provider would be in the best medical interest of the covered veteran.”

The Congressional Budget Office estimated that “in the early years of the program, roughly 640,000 additional veteran patients would be referred out to community care each year.” The law also requires the VA to provide veterans access to walk-in care from non-VA providers; the veterans may be required to pay copayments, as determined by the VA.

I agree with what you posted . Our politicians should work for us not the lobbyists and one world govt.

It seems you missed the part where the rejection by the GOP is over making the funding mandentory rather the discretionary. with that, pork in found in every bill, from both parties..

Pork is pork. Discretionary pork or mandatory pork. Pork is pork. This conversation was started by me saying I opposed pork of any kind in any bill. Each bill should be a single item issue. As typical, you hang around a thread long enough then start with your misdirection on comments made.
