This is likely to pass. Meanwhile, the republicans are standing around staring at their shoes in solidarity with themselves in their individual bids to get re-elected.

I doubt manchin is worried about being primaried. I think he's more worried about losing to a republican in the red state of WV. So far he has hung in there by not buying into the extreme left agenda. But this betrayal--which included a double cross of republicans with respect to the CHIPS bill--may well cause a republican backlash that he cannot overcome, and the end result may be him retiring before that happens so he doesn't go out a big loser. Which is what he is. I don't really care how he gets ousted, I just want to see his t*****rous butt gone.

Also, I can't decide if sinema is in a tough position OR if she and manchin ... and chuckie boy ... are playing some strategic game to figure out a way for dems to sneak more spending into the bill without them being blamed for it. Not sure what that strategy would be, but it probably doesn't bode well for the American taxpayers.
I heard one political pundit mention yesterday that sinema helping Chuckie Boy and the Spenders get this passed could create a republican backlash against all dems ... but especially against HER because she would have had the chance to stop it and didn't ... for their tone deaf spend and tax agenda. And because, if it does pass, SHE will be blamed, and that could affect mark kelly's chances of winning a second term in AZ this November. That would be the only upside to this if she caves.

It depends on whether his red state Trumpian constituency can be told any thing and will follow their leadership anywhere.
