When you don't correctly understand the problem, you will never get at the correct solution.
"The Army’s Chief of Staff, General James McConville, blames the shortfall on competition with the private sector. Others blame upwardly mobile families who would rather their children attend college than wear a uniform."
For all the reasons outlined in the following article, the pentagon is sticking it's head in the sand, or more likely, knows this explanation is bogus. But that's what happens when you compromise on principles in an attempt to satisfy your boss's "woke" "New World Order" agenda.
Unnecessary and undeclared Foreign wars, a bungled Afghanistan withdrawal, weak and demented political leadership all take a toll on recruitment. "We might add to that list suicides, sexual assaults, social justice indoctrination, and C***d v******tion policies as dulling the shine of military service.
Of the lot, the Pentagon’s v*****e mandate may prove its deepest self-inflicted wound. "
