Using a flawed constitution does not make it right.

Well actually it does make it right for the right.

It was not the Constitution that was flawed - it was the Supreme Court's decision in 1973.

Go read the Constitution - again, if you already have. Overturning Roe HAS made the Constitution (finally) "right" - for America (can't say what it does for the country you claim to be from)!

Federalizing Roe was corrected by the overturning. A******n laws are now back at State level where they should have been since this "mistake" was made by SCOTUS in 1973.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT WOMEN'S RIGHTS.....It's about fixing something that was broken, and re-aligning the law according to our Constitution!!

What does "Federalizing Roe" mean? Roe v. Wade did not legalize a******n in the U.S. The Roe decision was supported by a 7-2 majority v**e which set a policy that lasted 50 years. Hardly a "mistake." The Constitution has not changed in 50 years. The political interpretation changed (5-4) with the conservative right-wing members forming the majority.

The Constitution did not change over 50 years. The current conservative right-wing interpretation of the constitution is what changed. According to surveys, 60% of Americans favor a******n remaining legal.

Superficially, it would seem that the Supreme Court has taken a turn to the "conservative side", as pointed out by Mr. Barnett in the article cited at the bottom of this post.

But, consider the following:
“If logic and reason, the hard, cold products of the mind, can be relied upon to deliver justice or produce the t***h, how is it that these brain-heavy judges rarely agree? Five-to-four decisions are the rule, not the exception. Nearly half of the court must be unjust and wrong nearly half of the time. Each decision, whether the majority or minority, exudes logic and reason like the obfuscating ink from a jellyfish, and in language as opaque. The minority could have as easily become the decision of the court. At once we realize that logic, no matter how pretty and neat, that reason, no matter how seemingly profound and deep, does not necessarily produce t***h, much less justice. Logic and reason often become but tools used by those in power to deliver their load of injustice to the people. And ultimate t***h, if, indeed, it exists, is rarely recognizable in the endless rows of long words that crowd page after page of most judicial regurgitations.

"The dark comedy that is the ‘Supreme’ Court, shrouded in deception, conspiracy, politics, and agenda driven desires; is but a tool of the ruling ‘elites,’ and the political class it controls. There are always underlying reasons for these decisions, and it rarely if ever, has anything to do with protecting the individual or the best interests of society. It always has to do with fooling the people, power, control, and gaining an authoritarian position over the population in favor of the ruling class."

George Carlin, (God rest his soul) sums it up quite nicely, with the following comment:

“Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea you have freedom of choice. You don’t. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land, they own and control the corporations that’ve long since bought and paid for, the senate, the congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pocket, and they own all the big media companies so they control just about all of the news and the information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else. But I’ll tell you what they don’t want. They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well-informed, well-educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them.”

"Federalizing" means making it a federal law, rather than a state law.

Given that Roe v. Wade was so grievously wrong from the beginning, has led to such damage within our nation, and resulted in the death of 63 million people, the Court’s opinion concludes that the rule of law demands the U.S. Supreme Court “heed the Constitution and return the issue of a******n to the people’s elected representatives.

Overturning Roe v. Wade means an end to the reign of terror in which a government-sanctioned slaughter of the unborn has k**led 63 million fellow humans from our nation.

Overturning Roe v. Wade means that our elected officials will once again have the freedom to eliminate particularly gruesome and barbaric “medical” procedures and preserve the integrity of the medical profession.

Overturning Roe v. Wade means that our elected officials can prevent discrimination on the basis of race, sex, or disability in the womb.

***********************************************************************************

The decision to overrule Roe v. Wade—like the end of s***ery, segregation, and other injustices—is a monumental moment in our nation’s history that should be widely celebrated.

What lefties "favor" or not is not the issue. It is what is the right thing to do. A wrong has been righted.

Deal with it.

The wrong you believe has been righted could well be the spike that culminates in two Americas.

A divided country can not stand.

The wrong that has been righted is simply a matter of what judicial branches of our government - both state and federal - do what. Your emotional efforts to make our country's laws into what YOU think they should be are amusing, to say the least. You don't have a dog in this fight. Maybe you should be getting emotional about your own country's laws.....

And loss of life for the babies - 63 million of them.

If Democrats thought in terms of v**es with this issue, Roe would have been gone years ago.....63 million is a LOT of v**es....

I have no illusions about changing your country’s laws

I am observing history play out as the USA implodes.

And no. The wrong is not merely about state’s rights. It is also about control

Yes. The Constitution's laws - the Supreme laws of our country - have always been about control. And it is about who does the controlling....the government or the state. That's it. That's all this is about. Getting emotional about it does nothing.

Emotions do come into play when one side is trying to control the other.

People object strongly
