At least seven fundamental factors seem to guide our lives: 1) Life; 2) Religion; 3) Freedom; 4) Sociality; 5) Governance; 6) Reason; and 7) Aesthetics. For each factor, I have identified briefly Who is involved, What is involved, and How it works. In most of these categories, the Decalogue is a key rule.
The derived serial items may each have a separate logical expansion, including rationales for each entry. The serial items in parentheses refer to more modern requirements, such as the entire citizenry, the nation, or modern developments.

Interesting. Don't have the time to go through it right now. But I did notice one area of disagreement. Religion. You were all about Christianity. Religion isn't all about Christianity. It is about all Religions and should be about the best aspects of all. Including those that don't adhere to any religion like myself. Belief in God is one thing and whether there is such a thing. If there is, it is simply, God. Religion is another and all religions are constructions of man, for the need to control the people besides government control, and an often opposing force against that control. Just some ideas.

Interesting. Don't have the time to go through it ... (

=================================
You are correct! I did allow my Christianity to take over. I suppose I was thinking of the majority in the US, and not either world religions nor the minority non-Christians here. With s bit of imagination, you can use the Christian religion as a model!
Yes, you can think of religion as the opiate of the masses, and it most definitely has served in that capacity for many people. It can be the controlling mechanism for a nation, too. The obvious thing about it is that some sort of religion exists just about everywhere, testifying to the need for spiritual guidance if not more, such as how to live a good life, or morals...
Of course, calling Christianity a human construct is not what Christians believe, but it is quite a construct, isn't it? Lots of moving parts to it, also.
We try to understand a lot of disturbing questions with our religions, such as why are we here? Is there purpose in life? Does the universe have a purpose? What happens when we die? Is that the final end, or is there life after death? What is the good, and what is the bad? Am I my brother's keeper? Is there a God? What do I have to do to stay on his good side? And on and on... Usually a book's worth of attempted answers, and advice.
A long time ago, I read about how one could construct a religion. I will try to recall the ingredients:
1. A charismatic leader, even a hypnotic one.
2. A message that resonates with ordinary people. Something golden in life! Mystery too! And, one other key ingredient: miracles of some sort.
3. A symbol or symbols that focuses attention, a good title, and a short slogan.
4. A Priesthood that is made holier than others.
5. Renewal of the priesthood regularly.
6. Demands on the followers to conform to rules of the construct, or else.
7. Collection of tribute.
8. Strict rituals for worship and a dogma...
9. A Church for worship, properly decorated to fit the religion.
10. Local members of the priesthood to lead the flock.
11. A book about the religion that calls for faith.
12. Evangelism
That is all I can remember, but it seems to cover most of the tenets.
