I'm actually laughing and not ranting!
I've spent over 15 years in online retail and have some understanding of digital marketing systems, but for the life of me I can't figure out how the system thought I would be interested in this ad, which appeared as I logged into OPP today.
I mean, if there were hunky gay Russian soldiers, maybe.
But nothing anywhere on my browser history should indicate any interest in these lovely Russian ladies!

Generic ads when no ads are paid for by some place you've been. Hey at least it's not adult toys or X rated sites!

I have an ad blocker on my system, so, fortunately, I never get any of those stupid things. Considering how slow our system is, if i had to look at ads too, I would give up, and cable isn't available way out in the sticks.

Those add are a direct result of key words found in articles that you read and even in comments made on OPP. If for example you see a topic and it has a link, you click on that link and it is about the sex life of a tsetse fly, the recorder will pick up the word sex and then funnel advertisements that has that key word. So, if you want a fine Russian man, do a search for Sexy Male, Russian and you will get all kinds of advertisement; not just sexy males, but anything about travel to Russia, Cheap Deals on Hotels in Russia, male models, and all adds on sex. The system will just keep building on your search until your hair turns gray! And there is no way to stop it, it is a process of Cookies, and I will not bore you with a discussion on that.

Good. He may be on his way to Russia at any moment. Shhh, don't tell him that Russians persecute the holy living crap out of homosexuals, he may decide not to go.

I truly was not going to do this; however, my perverse sense of humor just will not let it pass.

I' m gonna tell...I'm gonna tell....

John, did you know Paul wants to look at hunky Russian soldiers?

See, I told on you. :-P :-D :-P :D

I highly doubt your ad blocker is blocking those ad, it would have to be updated everyday. All any vender has to do is change and URL by one character and the ad wound be displayed.

Slow cable, how slow? Misconfiguration would be my bet.

I don't have an ad problem. What I have been getting lately is intrusion attempt alerts from Norton security. It is only on this website. Anybody else have this problem?

So far, no damage, because Norton caught the threats and eliminated them quickly.

We don't have cable, just Hughes satelite, cheapest service available better than nothing though, which is the other choice.

If our ad blocker is not why we aren't getting ads, it doesn't matter as long as I don't have to look at ads.

LOL AuntiE.

1 - Who DOESN'T want to look at hunky Russian soldiers?

2 - Just because I'm not going to order doesn't mean I can't look at the menu.

I would rather look at Mark Harmon and Fred Couples (best derrière on the PGA!)

Hmm....I just got an idea of your age group, based on this statement. You are one of our, as I call them, toddlers/youngsters. :P :D

I do try and can be trying, as well.

I think you may be in the teenage group.

As a kindly thought, you may owe Lindajoy an apology.
