Linda, you have prompted me to post about an important thing that I have observed regarding the benefit of talking about ones experience with traumatic events. I hope that it could be helpful to anyone who finds themselves in such a circumstance. I had the privilege of talking to Al Haynes a few years after his
horrendous experience which can be seen at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Haynes . When I said to him that
travels to be a part of lectures and speak about his experience was not only the mark of strength but was highly beneficial to anyone that experienced a personal trauma. He responded with a resounding " OH, it's the only way I can prevent it from eating me from the inside out" "I do this to keep my sanity and retain a purpose in life".
While I certainly do not dwell on speaking of my experiences , it is beneficial to me to on occasion to do so, and think
it is good for people to understand that the practice applies to them also.

Hey sky! Yes, the brunt of it is over for now, thank you! Still, brain fog is a continuing curse. As I said elsewhere to you, I am struggling to keep posting because it is a sort of therapy. Focuses the mind.

Finally, I put one and one together and came up with why the skyrider name. You are, from one of your posts, a pilot and have a plane or rent one. Something I couldn't do but longed for since I was 5. I grew up around aviation and had many rides, and a few chances to take the controls, but never a run at a license. A bit late now when I could afford it!
