The CIA's Financial Threat and Asymmetric Warfare Adviser has stepped forward to reveal potentially catastrophic news for the Obama administration.

Make no mistake, this is not your typical survivalist BS, or the sky is falling chatter.....

In a tell-all interview, CIA insider Jim Rickards has released details of a looming crisis unprecedented in the modern American era.

The Federal Government, military, and intelligence community have begun to implement emergency measures for what they are calling "The Day After Plan."

If Rickards is right the coming months could see a "A worldwide economic breakdown and collapse" and "An extended period of global anarchy."

The question we should all be asking ourselves now is "what if he's right?".

Pray he is like the rest of Obama's people. Totally confused.

Sad to say, I have thought about this and it is truly frightening. If the electricity went off right now I think my bride and I would last about 3 or 4 days. The food would all be spoiled, toilets full, no water, no Wi-Fi. Wrap up in a blanket on the porch and wait for the end.

Been prepared for a few years. Not only to over come the shut down...but also to deal with the real enemy of the United States. Unlike the morons that are clueless....there will be hope and hope given by the very likes of me, pissed off and not too damned polite about it, either....I literally H**E what the monsters of the DEMOCRAPTIC party have done to this Nation. There are many MILLIONS the same as I am....and you can bet....we won't have much tolerance or mercy for the real enemy of our Nation. You can find some real plans on how to deal with what to do as a family to make it. Some simple things to store up are things you can "barter" with daily items aside from food storage....aspirin....toilet paper....soap...AMMO a biggie....and learn where NOT to keep all your stuff stashed....how to keep it from being l**ted and how to deal with troops that may come to your neighborhood demanding you fork over everything you have......

I've been able to actually be welcomed into many National Guard Armories where they have meetings and hold Reserves meetings as well. Ask those that come to those meetings, what they plan to do if asked to"storm" the communities and strip even their own families of ammo guns and food? See their reactions and answers. Most will flat out tell you "Hell NO"...so Obama and his plans may not go as smoothly as he thinks. But kid not yourself...Obama DOES have an agenda do to so.....

 I'm a single woman. Been trying to stock up on food, water, and other things. I have read several times that there are 37 things that will fly off the shelves in the grocery stores. Do you know what those things are? Thanks

I h**e to say this, but you don't have enough food. You will need a minimum of 2 years worth to make it and that is still questionable.

Well, I live on a farm, lots of acreage, and for "now" the wild turkeys and bears get a "pass" and I don't allow anyone to bother them, but if it were to come right down to it...and that generator we have, learned the hard way about availability of gas to run it, or the lack thereof, when one of those infrequent hurricanes we get, took out our electricity for two weeks. It seems that "most" of the gas stations around here don't have backup generators, and so while they had gas, it couldn't be pumped. I was just so grateful that I had lot of put up canned stuff to depend on. All the grocery stores had to throw out their stuff and start over, so even after we sawed our way up the 6/10 of a mile driveway, we found there was a scarcity of food items because it seems that the grocery stores had no backup generators either. Guess, that would have been a stretch, all the fuel it would take to run a large grocery store. After that adventure, I made sure to buy myself a camping coffee maker. Coffee....that first sip of brew after the hurricane.....oh, I was in heaven.

I'm love my coffee!!! Got about 30 lbs. Of coffee put up.other than that I have beans flour baking powder baking soda rice bullion cubes corn meal lots of salt and water in 2 litre coke bottles in the freezer. Probably court feed me and my kids for 8 or 9 months. Both my boys are grown and are great h****rs and fishermen. What worries me most is being able to protect what I have.

Oh, I once went camping on an island (only ferry service to get there, and no stores) and yes, I forgot my coffee. I was "begging" coffee from my fellow campers by the second day. No p***e did I have!! Yes, I gotta agree, protecting what you have....it is scary. After 9/11? Several of my relatives said they were already making plans (just in case) to come and hunker down with us....

Tell them to bring enough food for everyone, and make sure their ammo matches yours.

Ya, got a source of fresh water?

I know you have the gumption to survive.

Ps. Most survival food is very expensive and not all that good. Your price per meal is inflated beyond belief.

However there are good choices you can make and can start stocking up right now.

Here are a few ideas:

Spam in a can. Ugh, but if you are hungry enough.

Check out the little dried meals from the likes of Hormel (completes) around 200 cal, you can store them for a year (or more) and you can either microwave or heat up over a fire.

Think back to your grandparents and consider smoked and salted meats.

Of course, beans, rice, flower and salt are needed staples which are used to make your dinner complete.

One thing for sure. If enough prior warning is given, you can count on the store shelves being void of this stuff.

Remember Year 2000 scare.... You could not find a can of spam in about any store two weeks before the magical date.

Besides... On the above Items I have listed, you can eat from them as long as you keep replacing them.... Don't just store it all away and forget about it. Use it.... But replace it every month.

Oh, any one know how to can veggies?

Your parents kept a pantry with a years worth of food. Do you? Not to late to start one.

Heck, right now I could become a vegetarian if "need be" -- enough stuff put up to go for a couple of years, and the Amish have an interesting way to "can" meats -- and I haven't heard of any of the Amish falling out from bad canned meats (yet). The dried meals, hadn't tried any of those. Spring fed ponds abound....and thanks for the reminder that stored stuff does have end dates to it. There's certainly plenty of deer here...lots of good venison to be had....making me hungry. ;) ;)

P.S....While I'm not "exactly" fond of the NRA (lobbyist and special interest groups don't care who they get in bed with), my sister-in-law works for the NRA and I'm betting she would make SURE to see that ammunition was user friendly. I "already" know how non-compatible ammo doesn't work.
